Usually, most dogs it is a year old. However, some breeds are different than others so I'd reasearch the breed on reliable websites or maybe even call a vet to see what they say. But again, it's usually a year old.

Usually we recommend that large breed puppies ( which your labs is ) are changed to a lower protein formula food around 8 months old. However these days if you are feeding a large breed puppy food it will be specially formulated to allow the dog to grow slower. THe problem with most puppy foods is that the protein level is more suited to smaller breed dogs which grow very rapidly but do not have joint issues. Therefore changing to a large breed puppy food slows the growth to a more respectable level so the dogs joints and muscles have time to grow and compensate for the additional weight etc.

Around 1 year. Labs tend to put on weight so you don't want to leave him on puppy food too long. When you change the food you need to do it gradually or he'll get the runs. Do it over a period of about 10 days starting off with a small amount of the adult food, then increasing it a bit every day till he's changed over.

Depends on the size and breed of your dog. My Pekingese started puppy dry food when she was 6 months. My Border Collie I started her at 5 months...
Always fed my dogs wet food in the am. Too much dry food and they became constipated. The wet food once a day keep their digestive system working great.

You should change it to adult food at 6 months. Large breed dogs grow much better and much healthier if you change them over sooner. Puppy food is full of protien and other things that make them grow really fast. This is too hard on a large breed dog. They need to grow slowly for their joints. It will help them live an healthier, happier life. I changed mine over at 6 months and her growth definitely slowed down. She is growing at a very slow rate and she is 11 months old and beautiful. You should try it. I also feed her Pedigree large breed food. This also helps with her joints. Good Luck!

Usually it says on the labels on the dog food. Some dog foods say that this is good for puppies - under 24 months old and below. Others say 12 months old and below.

I have a yellow lab, we swiched his food around 14 months, he was getting to fat on the puppy chow. He is so muscular now from the adult food! Anywhere between 12 and 18 months is a good bet.

Probably anywhere inbetween 12-24 months.
I mean its up to you really, a lab is going to eat anything and in large amounts, as long as it is a pupp food high in fat and carbohydrates you could theoratically keep feeding the lab that forever!!
But really it depends on the dog, when your dog begins to become more active throughout the day thats when because usually the adult formulas are higher in the fat and carbohydrates they need for sustained energy. I hope this helps.

Just had a vet appointement and my vet wants her on Puppy until her next vist at around 16months old. Said he will decide if she should switch then and to just watch her weight and let him know if she starts packing on the pounds.
