He is bored.

Walk him daily.

Play fetch.

Set up a doggie sand box, and hide treats, toys, and bones there. Encourage him to dig in his sand area, and praise him when he does. If you catch him digging else where, tell him no, lead him to his area, and tell him "Dig."

Put his poop in the holes he dug and then fill with dirth. Make sure the poop is only a couple of inches under the dirt. This will deter him from digging in the same places.

He's unhappy because he is bored. If you get him a doggy friend, then most likely the new dog will pick up your dog's bad habits, and you will have two escape artists to contend with!

By the way, this is a breed that tends to dig. They were bred to dig out and chase small mammals. The sandbox/digging area is definately the way to go with this little guy!

Your dog BADLY needs exercise. I have a terrier who has boundless energy and will find something to do if I don't give him enough exercise. "Finding something to do" usually means digging holes or trying to tunnel out under the fence. Dogs need activity and stimulation just like we do! It's not enough that your dog has a big backyard. He needs long walks and lots of play.

Oh, and I go along with getting your dog neutered. My dog is neutered already, so neutering only solves some of the problem.

More exercise and more walks will help. I had a dog once who *needed* to go for regular daily walks, and she needed lots of variety -- none of this stuff about taking the same old boring walk around the block. She would become physically depressed if she did not get out enough. My other dogs have always done best if they get out often, but some dogs clearly need it more than others.

Does he get enough attention? What kind of dog is he? Some terriers dig because they find it fun. Keep him busy doing something else. Also, if he is stuck out in the yard all the time, he may be trying to escape to where someone will let him in the house!!!

i might want to take her to an emergency Vet if it change into my canines because the indications sound intense. No Vet might want to allow you to recognize on line with or devoid of the information you protected. it would want to correctly be warmth stroke, a toxin, something else.. yet although the reason, the canines is truly ill. i'm hoping you are able to take her. i have considered many human beings posting and putting forward they're a "Vet" or a "Vet Nurse" on right here, and from interpreting their posts, there's no way that is accessible, so be very careful about taking suggestion on line from strangers devoid of evidence of their credentials.

Have him neutered. Maybe a friend could bring his dog over for a play date and you do the same with yours.Take him for daily walks.

Is your dog fixed? If not, get him fixed ASAP.

Remember, some breeds are diggers and need more attention that just toys and chew sticks. They need tasks and personal attention. Take him for walks. Visit dog parks. Join you local club for his breed of dog and see what they do for their dogs to keep them entertained. Set up play dates with other dogs. Do what you can for him. : )

Hi, There might be a lady dog on heat near by, which he can smell and is trying to get to. This would also make him sad.
