Depending on the size of the dog and how many he ate, try calling poison control in your area first. He may not be in fatal trouble, but sleep for a few hours to days, they could advise you best before hour drive to a vet.

Of course you should call the vet. A call doesn't take a hour. It takes a few minutes. If the vet thinks you should come in, then don't complain about the drive and bring him in.

Call the vet and then get him there. YHour dog probably needs his stomach pumped because there was probably an overdose of pills even for a human

Yes, call them and explain it is far away and also find out what you can do before you leave with him. Get off the computer and do it now! Also ask if you should or should not induce vomiting? You do not have an animal shelter/ ASPCA that is closer ? Take care of your baby. Sus04mc@yahoo.com

If you drive fast you might make it in 45 mins.

Call your vet first, tell him what the dog ate and see what he thinks. Can you estimate how many?

He should go to the vet. At least call the vet and thoroughly explain what happened. The vet will tell you what you need to do.
