My dog just recently got a sore type thing on his tail now he has one more near that one. We put peroxide on it but he won't leave it alone he keeps messing with it and making worse. I don't have money for the vet I just spent a ton on getting his shots up to date, healing an illness he had, and getting him fixed. What should I do?

I have always wondered this. I'm pretty positive he doesn't have seizures or anything else wrong with him, because he's totally healthy, but it's always like he's dreaming or something. He would twitch his paws, then his back paws, then his body, then his eyes, then he'd half open his eyes and then they're red, then I shake him and he wakes up, goes back to sleep, and doesn't twitch for the rest of the night. It looks really scary when he does it!

This again is the same basic question but I got some nice answer and pretty much some dumb ones aswell. My neighbors dog was st. benard that was protecting her from coyotoes, she came to my house in tears. Later that evening me and couple of dudes in the neighborhood went out to go and see if we can find her dog. So to answer some of your do even coyotes attack people to answer that questions is yes, and same for black bears.Tell this day her dog was never found. All three of my dogs are males I have a fence around my home but that does not matter. I am more worried about this cituation cause my neice and nephew come by and go out back with my dogs and play with them about 2 miles away. my neice and nephew are 6 yrs old. So instead of me just worrying about my dogs now I got to to worry about them aswell. my dogs only bark real mean and act agreesive if they sense something some wrong or encounter danger. So has anyone encountered something close to this.

A few months ago we got a housebroken, neutered male American Bulldog (less than one year old). At first, we kept him in the kitchen to be sure he was housetrained. We just started letting him in the living room, but now he's started to go into the kitchen to pee. Does anyone know why he's doing this and can anyone give me advice on how to train him to stop?

My dog is a Welsh Springer Spaniel. I give him cod liver oil as a supplement to his diet. his coat is not very oily. He swims a lot and constantly gets muddy having fun as all dogs should. I think his coat is dry as we towel him off after every walk. Additionally, his hair can get knotted so i believe with a bit more oil this will be less likely. Any help/suggestions appreciated

If yes, how so? I have a newfoundland and he is our baby! Recently we had him boarded while we went out of town and I made him special treats and gave them instructions to feed them to him every day. They treated me like I was crazy! I also plan on getting him a Christmas present. Anyone else do this?

I have a 3 year old male great dane. He is an indoor dog and only eats dog food (canned and dry). From time to time he will come in from "going potty" and will have several drops of bright red blood drip from his anus. Otherwise he is perfectly healthy. Any ideas?

This is somre information to help to clarify some answers to the my questions about coyotes. First of all I have three big dogs one rottweiler, an akita, and a great pryenees, the three of them combine they a little bit more than 400lbs.As to wether coyotes attack humans, There have been documented reports of them attacking humans one of the reports came from Lake Tahoe where an coyote had a small child it's mouth, incase some of you all are wondering Lake Tahoe is having a growing population with coyotes rising, but they have even been spotted in outskirt cities of Los Angeles. So as to the myth they never attack humans well that to me is not true cause during their mating season they are especially more aggressive. i am asking these questions cause I have to give an opened oral report on coyotes in at class. So the subject stating unless you have a kick *** pitbull or rottweiler or somthing like that. Well please try to understand my questions and try to come up with a better answer

My black lab/chow dog is about 10 years old, and yesterday I noticed him shaking all over, it is not cold outside or anything either. And now he is laying around all day, and when he does get up, he limps, and whines, and wants to come inside, which he usually hates. what could be wrong with him?
