My four month old yellow lab still does this. I was concerned also when I first got him...I thought he had been abused and was just scared to death. I asked the same question here and was told all the things you are being told. I just wake my puppy up...just for my benefit...but he is fine. I bet he sleeps a lot, too. My puppy did also...but that goes away and they grow so fast. Good luck with your new puppy!

I have an 11 week old (tomorrow) black Lab and she does the same thing. It's from dreaming. As long as he breathes normal while awake and isn't gasping for air, he's fine!

Puppy may be dreaming. If he breathes fine while he's awake, it's probablly fine. If you're worried, it's best to check with a vet.

Yes, puppies do this. They also dream and "chase" each other, so they move their paws really fast, and make sounds like they are barking.

My black lab does the same thing when she sleeps. Im guessing it is very normal for dogs to do that.

TIP: check with a vet because this could be bad . check with the vet as soon as you can. if he just started to do this or if he had started a long time ago you should still talk to the vet. PRONTO FAST
