He seems to be convinced they are mast cell tumours. He started off with one incision to remove the major one then found several secondary tumours. She has two incisions on her neck, one being about 4" and the other about 11" so he has had a good look and removed all that he can see. Please can someone tell me, honestly, how long I have left with her? She is a three year old Weimaraner.

Well I have an older and bigger dog and I'm bringing 2 new puppies home. How can I get all three male dogs to get along? I'm afraid my older dog will hurt them

I have two sweet dogs that play together constantly. The male is a 5 y/o Chihuahua / Dachshund mix and the female is a 2 y/o Heinz 57 mutt with some Jack Russell, Dachshund, and Beagle in her. Both dogs have great temperaments and get alone well. The Mutt just had a litter of five pups a couple of days ago, of course she is protective but the male doesn’t understand why he can’t play with her. Yes he is the papa and it was planned. He has been mopping around the house for the last two days. He is a very gentle dog he played with her when she was a little pup so we are not worried at all that he will harm the puppies. How and when is the best time to let him get near her again ? Should we just wait and let her decide when is best or take him with us in the room to see the puppies until she gets used to him being around them ?

My chihuahua has been having rice sized brownish spotting when she pees. She was breed with another smaller Chi 2 wks ago and is out of the normal bleeding/bleeding stage. She has no temp., very happy, and not sick. Has anyone experienced this and the dog is pregnant. Thought it may be implantation. PLEASE----do not respond if you have an ethical problem with breeding dogs, they are vet checked.

We are giving her fish oil. She was tested for mange and was negative twice. With steroids she seems to not bite/scratch them as much but we can't stop them from showing up. Her hair is starting to not grow in some of the areas. Please help! What could this be and what can we do?

My dog was spayed about 2 months ago. I just noticed on her stitch scar there is a purplish colored raised bump. There is no foul smell and it just appeared in the last couple of days. I think it might be an ingrown hair, but I've never seen one that is purple before. She isn't in pain, at least she let me look at it and didn't seem to care or even notice that it was there. What should I do???

everytime we leave the house he starts yelping like someone is beating him with a rock.i never hear a dog cry like this.we try putting him in the cage because he still breaks everything but he just keeps yelping when we leave, and tapping him with a newspaper wont work,my neice who is only 4 hit him with a belt cuz he was chewing her doll but he just kept doing what he did its like nothing phases him,he still has his nuts.do u think if he got them cut he would calm down,by the way he's 8 months, both his parents are beagle and toy fox terrier but his characteristics and some of his body features are just like a pittbull were not sure on that

Hey everyone!

My dog is a runt from my friend's first litter(sp?). He is really skinny.

I have been trying to find ways to fatten my olde english bulldog baby. I have been feeding him human baby cereal(if you don't know what it is, it is flakey stuff you mix with water with a lot of nutrients in it). I feed him through a small turkey baster because he has a small hole on the roof of his mouth that will close up in a few weeks.

The vet suggested the cereal, but is there better ways?

If you are a smartass, please don't respond.

She is a Shi-tzu Lhasa-Apso Mix and this is her 3rd litter, having 2, 3 & 4 pups per litter respectively. She labored & birthed them all night Saturday night. When I got home from work yesterday, I thought I saw blood in the little presents she left me in the front room, but today I am sure. Blood is almost always present, new blood (not black) and the mucus is only there sometimes.

Is this something I should be EXTREMELY worried about? My vet said that they would need a stool sample within 2 hours of her giving it. I work all day & live alone. Any ideas?

When my dog drinks water, most of the time she vomits. I dont know what is wrong with her. She doesnt vomit when she eats, only when she drinks water. Shes been doing that middle of this year around. Im thinking she drinks the water too fast.

the gender and color of a puppy? I am looking at several Italian Greyhound breeders and a few of them charge extra like $300 for those things.
