Your puppy will need vaccinations and de-wormed, so the vet will be able to give you a pretty good idea of ots breeding when you take it to the vet for the necessary care..
He needs his Parvo and distemper vaccination as soon as he is weaned from his mother, and he needs worming medicine at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, and 9 weeks..( at least)

If you have a link to the photos, you will probably get some good guesses here. One way to try and determine what a dog is mixed with is to take it to pet stores, by your Vet's office, to the Groomer's, and ask people what they think he looks like. Whatever answers you hear the most are possibly what the dog may be mixed with. Sometimes the best guesses are off. I saw a book on Mixed Breeds and some of the mixes were easy to see while others were ones I would not have guessed.
Make sure your puppies don't go out and about for awhile, at least until the first few sets of shots have been given and then some. The reason is that Parvo is spread from puppies coming in contact with where feces from an infected dog have been. Shots don't provide 100% immunity especially when the puppies have only had one set or two.
Besides, puppies change in appearance quite a bit in the first yr. of their life.

Does the family friend have the puppies' parents or know the people who do? They should be able to to tell you. If not, you'll just have to wait till the puppies mature. They may have some distinguishing characteristics to give you a clue to what breed they are.

If it is a mixed breed you are going to have to ask the people you got the puppy from.

Ask them,...
.... many dogs you can not tell the breed until they are adults.
Try visiting this site,..
http://www.akc.org/
I know the organization for Cats has all the breeds shown some where so the Dogs likely do as well. Maybe looking through can help you identify.

They are probably not "breeds" at all but well and truly mixed.
Enjoy your new puppies.
