what you do is everytime he bites, you pick him up, hold his snout closed (not to hurt, but stern), and say NO BITE! Eventually he will put two and two together.

Well, for your furniture and non-human things, you will need to watch puppy closely to be sure he/she is chewing on acceptable things you provide. When you catch puppy in the act of chewing on something he/she shouldn't, give a firm "no" and provide a proper chewing item.
Puppies need to chew for their teeth and this urge will not atomatically pass when the adult teeth have all come in. A dog will have the urge to chew until almost the age of 3. I learned this from my vet as my American Eskimo was VERY destructive as a young dog. The reason for the urge to persist after adult teeth have come in is because the teeth are still shifting within the jaw into proper place. By the time my dog hit 3 yrs, she no longer did any kind of destructive chewing. So this is something to keep in mind.
Now for people biting, these are a couple methods our trainer suggested we try with our Border Collie puppy (BC's are known for nipping as it's part of their herding instinct).
One is when the puppy bites, you let out an "ouch" or "ow, ow, ow" in a high pitched, puppy yelp sounding tone of voice. This is how your puppy's litter mates indicated when he/she did something that was painful during play time. Your puppy doesn't mean to hurt you, just doesn't realize that human skin is more sensitive than his/her litter mates were. When you give out the "yelp sound", it will usually make the puppy stop what he/she is doing immediately. If the puppy bites again, then repeat this. This will help reduce the pressure of puppy's bite and can eventually get puppy to stop all together.
Another method when puppy begins to bite is to grab GENTLY by the scruff, shake GENTLY and say "NO" in a growling tone. When puppy relaxes in your hold of the scruff, this is a sign of submission and you can then let go. This is the same way momma dog disciplines her pups when they were still with her and both of these methods are in a language your puppy will understand.
A couple key things here is to NEVER allow the puppy to bite without addressing and correcting the behavior as it can send mixed signals to your puppy about what you expect of him/her. Consistency is VERY important to properly address this. Another thing is to be sure that you have proper toys for puppy to play with, and when you engage in play time, never use your hands as a form of play, but toys should be used instead, always.

Buy him dog chew toys and put them everywhere. Puppies love to chew because it helps to develop their teeth and jaw and having objects all over gives them a ready available object to chew on. Also, buy them a variety of chew toys and let them take their pick. Never ever hit your dog or bite their ears or they will grow up to hate you.

replace her collar with a mild choke or mild prong. you are able to go away the different collar on yet you ought to have a administration gadget on her in any respect cases. Get a 2 foot preparation lead and go away it on her in any respect cases except at the same time as she's crated. If she should be corrected, you grab the leash and promises a pop- even a 2 foot lead might want to be sufficient distance to stay away from a chew, yet you should use a 4 foot leash in case you imagine you want one. When he bites you or the furniture, correct him with a firm no and then put a toy in his mouth and say, "Good boy". Or squirt him with water and use a firm no. Or spray the bitter apple spray in his mouth and use a firm no.
