Sounds like it could be "hot spots". But you need to at least contact your vet and ask what it could be. Perhaps if you are a good customer/patient they will let you pay over time if they have to see him to diagnose the problem.
Good luck.

Peroxide is not a good thing to use. It can kill good as well as diseased tissue.
Do go to the pet store and get something for Hot spots.
Did you know that vaccinations can cause skin problems? Read the Wisconsin University weblink
http://svmweb.vetmed.wisc.edu/articles/68/5/39
There is a whole lot about this on the net, so do some research.
Another place to read is from a regular vet in Texas. He gives lots of links http://www.critteradvocacy.org

Go to a pet store, they sell spray for sores. You spray it on the sore and it should keep the dog from messing with it, giving it time to heal. If that doesn't work and it gets worst, you should probably take your dog to the vet. If you spent a ton on getting his shots up to date, than most likely you care about this dog so take the dog in and write a check if you don't have money.

He probably has a hot spot. Some pet stores have over the counter meds that will take the itchiness away from it. I think the name is Sulficate or something similar to that. It comes in a clear bottle with a yellow liquid. Also you can try covering the spot over so he can't get to it. The only way it will heal is if he leaves it alone. Try covering it with an ace bandage..... Don't make it too tight though.

It could be an allergic reaction which a vet will need to diagnose the cause. It could be stress. It could be demodetic mange which you can treat by washing the dog every second day with a groomers dog shampoo and swabing the spots every day with a rinse. 4 litres of water, rind of 6 lemons, 1 whole bulb of garilic and boil it down to 2litres strain and cool. DONT USE PEROXIDE because if its any of these it will make it worse and cause scarring

I just hate to hear people criticize people so much on this site. This person is needing help caring for their dog and all some of you can say is if you don't have the money then you don't deserve that dog. This is where we should come and try and help each other out with pet problems. I am sure this person don't want to be criticized about asking a valid question. I think it is fine to suggest a trip to the vet, I have myself, but this person is in distress with her pet and needs advice not criticism.
I don't know what is wrong with your puppy...but there are people who have given some good advice. Good Luck...I am sure he will be fine, because you care enough to ask for help.

I definitely understand about the money thing....Vet visits can be quite costly. But anyway, keep the sores clean w/peroxide and try and wrap it up with some gauze, then put some of that white tape around it so he can't irritate it. Good luck.

I don't know what your dog may have but you could call the vet and ask they shouldn't charge for a phone question.
I think its great you have a dog and wish you the best of luck with this problem...Not all of us have money all the time and those people with the nasty attitudes shouldn't bother answering your question with an insult, what does it solve? It just hurts.

I'm a dog trainer and what i think it is is that your dog has allergies you can simply go to the vet and get some allergy pills for about 10 to 30 dollars.and ms.??? they worst thing you could do is taking it to the vet with out the money because lets say you charge and make payment if you miss 3 payments they have the right to but your dog to sleep so don't say nothing if you don't know what you are talking about

If the dog wont leave it alone you need to go to a pet store and get one of satelite collars. Put it on him/her and it will prevent them from knawing on their wounds.
And whoever that b*tch was that said if you don't have the money for the vet don't have a dog can f*ck off. If she actually knew how to read she would have read that alot of money was just spent on the dogs healthcare. Obviously these people care for thier dog and want it to be healthy. Isn't that good enough?
