ok, this is going to sound like i'm jealous, and i kinda am, but still...

i have a 5 month old aussy shep. she's the sweetest thing. she sleeps on me or behind me on the couch, wants me to hold her toys while she's chewing on them, and loves to give me kisses and chew on my fingers (dont say anything about the chewing, i know its bad but she's learning that she can mouth, just now bite)

the thing is, she will wrestle with my bf and not with me, if he wrestles with me, she's on his side!! how can i get her to rough-house with me more? if i try, she looks for my bf so she can continute the match with him and gives me the stuffed animal instead!!!

i guess i should say that she lives at my bf's house (i pretty much do too) and she goes to work with him every day.

why does he get special treatment?? so not fair!!!

i let her out every time when i get home, he has her all day so its my turn at night. i think he usually feeds her, just because he's home earlier than i am. but i do if i notice she has no food.

my old dog used to love to wrestle with me, and if anyone even tried to give me a hug she would come and save me... i miss that, i want that back.

She is treating you special, she is a softie with you. Dogs are pretty intuitive as well, she might be picking up those "guy vibes". Guys are made for wrestling so she's gonna challenge him anyday. She wants to be careful with you so you don't get hurt.
Try taking her toy away while she's chewing it, then bounce it up and down gently near her face and tease her a bit and play with her. See if you can get her to wrestle the toy with you.

You may need to accept that she is just going to be this way to you. I have lots of dogs and they treat each family member differently.

Is your boyfriend the one who feeds her and takes her outside most of the time? That might have something to do with it.

When my husband and I wrestle my dog goes after whoever is getting beat up.

Possibly pack behavior? Maybe wrestling with another female threatens her standing with the alpha male(your boyfriend). You may not have the proper place, like you should, in the pack.

LOL! That's cute. I have a female feist and she is such a flirt with the guys. It's a similar situation as yours... she's cuddle with me but play with them. Must be a girl thing... ;)
