My dog was diagnosed with osteosarcoma today. I was just wondering if anyone here has already been through this. I was also wondering if applying hot compresses to my dogs shoulder would help lessen the pain? I didn;t get a chance to ask this to the vet cause I was shocked and upset.

O-K. Why then do i have to buy licenses for my dogs, just to run an ad in the paper. To sell pups that are not showable but great compaions. All my dogs are current on shots and they are chipped. I had the news paper lady tell me that showing dogs and having a website is considered a BUSSINESS. Since when did that happened,Why don't the show people have bussiness licensees.

I just got a Shih-tzu puppy, she's now 10 weeks old. I'm about to move into a new house, and I want to have her semi-potty trained before we get into the new place. Is it too early to start teaching her?

My dog licks himself way too much. It would be okay if he didn't have such bad breath. He makes himself stink and I have to give him baths frequently. I have no idea how to make him stop. He even wakes up in my dorm just licking himself. It is really annoying and gross and I'm not sure if it is bad for his health. Please help me find a way to make him stop. Thanks

I have a new Min Pin. The lady I got her from told me she was house trained but obviosly she is not. She did very well in her crate yesterday, But has accidents in the house. I know she will have them but I have a young child and cant always take her out. Would it be a good idea to pad train her for those times I cant take her out? I would like for her to go out most of the time but pad training would be really convenient. I just dont want to confuse her.

As a concerned, even though retired Veternarian of 30 yrs, I have been watching and researching breeders in Missouri especially ones that have more than 7 breeds of dogs including, Dobermans. On a website that is very informative www.dogbarter.com This is for all dogs but has Dobermans listed. I have found someone who runs ads on 5 different websites, all of the same dogs with varying prices going up & up. This should be a RED FLAG warning to pet lovers! In the disclaimer on this site, it lists things to be aware of, ie, unusually high content of different breeds of animals for sale, and etc. I am testifing next week at the state capitol on Possible Puppy Mill owners, remember you don't have to abuse, or starve, to be a puupy mill owner. Please KNOW your breeder, if they are honest, they will ANSWER all your questions, and they will want to know about you also!

We have a 3 month old pug, and he is just so so cute! We made the mistake when we first got him of letting him sleep with us, and I don't think we will ever be able to put a stop to it. He just curls up right between us in bed and nuzzles our necks and has the CUTEST snore ever! I don't think I could fall asleep without him panting in my ear. LOL...Do I sound like a complete wack job?! I NEVER thought I'd be the type to let my dog sleep with me.. does anyone else do this and feel this way too?

My dog is a Rat Terrier Mix.His is quite a bit bigger than normal Rat Terriers. We found him about 2-3 weeks ago. we took him to the vet, and the vet said he semed healthy. Well ive been noticing that he's been drinking a lot of water; i think its more than he really needs. He also goes to pee a lot too.His is not fixed, and we do have another male dog so that COULD be some of the reason why he's peeing/marking his territory.but im kinda worried that he may be diabetic.we are trying to house train him, but it really doesnt seem to be working too well.just yesterday he was sniffing around and pee'd in my parents room.he knows its bad, cause i give him a spanking and send him outside to do ALL of his business, then send him to his bed and close the door.do u think he may be diabetic?i really need answers.i dont have enough money to take him to the vet to get a blood test.could u maybe give me the symptoms of a diabetic dog?Would the symptoms be getting worse by now?
