I live on base, so I cannot change the actual fence. I had corrected the problem by using bamboo fencing to raise the height, but, it turns out bees love that stuff and were building hives on it! So, it had to go. Now, he's an indoor dog, I just don't like to leave him cooped up if I know I am going to be gone for more than a couple hours... he has broken every collar I've tried to chain him with, so that isn't the answer. I guess what I want to know is another way to raise the height of my fence, that I can take down in 43 years, and will stand typhoon winds. I don't have access to regular hardware stores, I'm living in Japan. Any ideas?

I have a 3 1/2 month old pom. I've had him for over 2wks now. I can't seem to train him to go on the pad to pee/poo. I even bought the spray thats suppose to attract pets to go there, but it seem to work just a couple of times and that was it. I do notice my pup has good memory, after he does go pee/poo somewhere else rather then the pad, he would hide since i usually put him in a box by his pad for 5min or so. and he also knows that if he goes in his carrier, he gets to go out so he would go in his carrier when I'm leaving the house. and when he goes to my parents house, he knows where the food/water is. so I don't know if he's doing it on purpose or what not.. any tips? I always keep an eye on him when I'm home but right when I turn my back to do the dishes, or go in the bathroom.. thats when he goes. I can't take him outside since he haven't had all his shots yet.

I got her spayed a few months ago and now she keeps getting urinary track infections and can't control her bladder even if she has just gone out and done her business. We also saw blood in her urine last week. My vet said it could be a thyroid problem but I don't think so.

Thanks!!

I'm just wondering my dog didn't really eat salmon. Someone told me that 1 drop of salmon blood could kill a full grown dog and I was wondering if it was true.

I feed my pupps with royal canin (baby food) 4 large breeds, the thing is that I never been able to find Royal Canin canned food for them. I was wondering if it even exists. It might be a little rare if royal canin doesn't produce canned food, since it's such a great dog food brand.

I just got a puppy 10 weeks old and she is going really well on the puppy pads and sometimes other places, but It is Nov and really cold so I am hesitant to want to take her outside and I am afraid she may get too cold expecially at night.
I have olny had her 5 days. I just dont want her to think it is ok to go indoors.

I'm stupid about pet food. I have been feeding my dog purina puppy chow, because he's only five months old, but now that he's growing up I am looking at different brands. I'm thinking I'll stick with Purina, but out of curiosity, I have heard lots of people say not to get Ol' Roy.. Anyone know WHY?

I was just walking in from the backyard and my little chihuahua was following behind me and I didn't realize. I let the screen door close and the corner of it hit her in the head - hard! There's no blood or anything, but she's so little and the sound of that door hitting her in the head was terrible. She seems normal. Should I call the vet anyway?
