A canines in many cases count number on that is mum and dad or proprietor to coach it issues it desires to understand .. and if have a wide canines and that is the reason you requested this question and the canines is as you daft say then i might want to be searching in a mirror as to the reason .. sorry .. take some outing of your busy existence to play with it , coach it undemanding instructions without yelling or getting pissed off , and make confident it receives the right nutrients and exercising and also you may see purely how smart that is ...

It is a question of Maturity. Although Big breeds have a shorter life span than small ones, they are slower to mature. If you consider most young children are dafter than Adults! A 2 yr old Pomeranian is an adult The same aged German Shepherd is just leaving Puppyhood!

Hmm interesting. I always thought larger dogs were smarter than the toy breeds. I suppose it mostly depends on the owner and the time spent training the dog.

a relative of mine had a red setter,it was as daft as a brush, my friend had a jack russell, the last he ever saw of it,it was running across a field,he was calling it , it never came back . It just goes to show that dogs can be doolally no matter what size!

Large dogs are as intelligent as smaller breeds, it all depends on the amount of time spent training & playing with your dog and their initial level of intelligence.

Big dogs mature more slowly. They are not mentally or physically mature until MUCH later than small breeds.
