I would stay away from that area with the dog or teach it by saying no, it will understand eventually. It may take time.

Teething! get a tough chew toy and a rawhide bone which you will alternate because they may finish the rawhide in under 24 hours if left alone too long! Play tug o'war with a knotted rope (1' dia) several times daily and let the pup win 40% of the time to check aggresiveness or you may loosen the teeth too much! Hope this saves your furniture!

I have a dog that used to do this. I took her to the vet and they said its because she is lacking something in her diet. My dog did this for years and it never hurt her, but to get her to stop you can get her some different kinds of dog food and let her eat a little bit of each of them for a while that is what I had to do with my dog. Or you can mix canned dog food with dry food twice a week for a month or so and see if that works that is what I am doing now and she still don't eat stones anymore.

Can you try to find something to distract her when she does this? A favorite toy, or play fetch? Also, be sure to tell her no and make her spit it out. She'll catch on, she's little still.

That reminds me of a Great Dane that used to frequent the vet I worked at. The dog would eat EVERYTHING! Rocks, pens, paper, an entire turkey carcass, make-up, towels, toys, a cell phone, the list goes on and on. We even had an x-ray of an intact rubber-ducky in his stomach! His owners said they tried everything and the only thing thet could do was watch him. (Which obviously didn't work out for them!)

Eating non-food objects is called "pica." No one knows for sure why animals do this. Since the causes are unknown, it's hard to find a solution.

The best idea is to make sure that your dog doesn't have access to these rocks. Don't let her outside unsupervised or off-leash. If you see her trying to eat something inappropriate, stop her by clapping your hands or making another loud noise to get her attention. Check the link below for more tips.

I watched a show on that if your dogg is swallowing them take him/her to a vet and get the stones removed but if just bringing them in the house then don't worry about it but if swallowing take to a vet and try to keep some of the rocks bigger so they cant swallow just not small/big cuz they will swallow them and might be too big!

My rott use to do the same thing. When you see her eating them, try to make her stop doing it. And a nylabone may work since dogs usually love these bones and it may keep her from eating the stones.
