he seems to find everything alright but the tie just doesn't happen.

If the males is less than 2, he is likely just too immature. My breed doesn't normally do it right until they are 3 years old, so just be more patient..
Or you can enlist the help of a vet. Here, it costs about $80 for an artificial breeding..

I have a male and female schnauzer. My male was only 8 months the first time. Maybe he's not finishing. or your female is nipping at him.

One are you a show breeder? If not why are you doing the breeding if you don't have the answers? Your main purpose is to better the breed, not have puppies for money!

it could be a number of things, either he isnt old enough, not aroused enough, she isn't ready (time wise), she doesn't want to, she is not willing, he cant get it in, or the dogs might not like each other.
