Baldwyn, my 11year old pug used to sleep in bed with me, but he's dead weight and he thinks he's letting me use his bed. He spreads all over and I get pushed to the side of the bed... no more, my back started to hurt and I was sluggish at work, like I had been partying... He sleeps with me until the end of the Tonight show... then we part.

If it doesn't bother you or anyone you sleep with then I don't think it matters that your pug sleeps in your bed. No, you are not a "whack job". I have three dogs and one of them sleeps on our bed and though she doesn't snore, she sleeps like a brick and curls up next to me. If it isn't a problem for either of you then it doesn't matter.
When I move into a space where there is more room I might get her a bed of her own and see if she adjusts to it, but until then I am fine with here sleeping where she does as I would also be fine with it if she continued to sleep on the bed.

i sleep with my doggie, she's a Bichon Frise/Mini Poodle mix.. she loves sleeping with me in the big bed, but sometimes she'll jump down and go to sleep in her own bed, which I placed right next to my bed. You should try that.. put a bed of his own next to yours. My dog sleeps in her bed a couple times a month, but not the whole night. I know, pugs do snore a lot! It's so funny. My dog snores sometimes as well.. I definitely think you're not a wack job, lol, tons of people sleep with their dogs. As long as you're both ok with it, I don't see anything wrong with that. Happy sleepin! :o)

We have 2 pit bulls and a doberman... they completely take over our king size bed. My boyfriend and I find ourselves mashed in the middle of the bed or falling off the edges, but the dogs are the warmest things ever! I wouldn't be able to sleep as well if they weren't there. Two of them come up to the pillows and stick their noses under and walk to our feet so they are completely covered, and the third likes to use pillows. You're not weird at all.

It's rare that my dog sleeps with me, because there isn't enough room in our double bed for two large adults and a big dog. If either of us is sleeping alone (like if I'm taking a nap, or in the mornings after I've gone to work and my fiancee is still asleep), the puppy gets in bed and snuggles under the covers. We also invite her to hang out in bed with us every night before we go to sleep. As soon as we turn the lights off she leaves, and it always makes me kind of sad.

dogs try this. supply them a rather time and a heat beg and that they are out like a easy. yet be waiting whilst they awaken refreshed. And doggies require so plenty extra sleep. doggies and Kitten can sleep 20 out of 24 hours. My dogs is composed of paintings with me and sleeps a great form of the day on his pad below my table. He purely comes out to chew the mail guy and the united statesguy. or if a fave customer is provided in to pass to. And he sleeps all night (11pm to 6am) yet he's an old guy.

There is an old fable that when you are sick, you should sleep with 3 dogs to cure your sickness. The only thing dogs will do for you is: make you feel better because they do not care if you look like heck and are all germy, keep you warm even if you are boiling and protect you from intruders or at least bark at them.

Before my dog passed away last April I had her since I was 9 years old and now 24 yrs old but, she use to sleep with me every night until I was 18 yrs old and moved out but, she slept with me and I even put her head on the pillow beside mine. I even put the blankets on her and I. I sure miss her a lot. I will never forget her. My very first puppy ever. =-(

Well, I'm torn on this one.
First, I'm a human mommy, so yes I love my doggie girls and want them to sleep with me.
However, in doggie world, the nicest sleeping place is reserved for the Alpha pack leader, so allowing them to share MY space allows them to challenge my authority as leader because they are slowly being trained that they are equal to me.
My dogs are both crate trained so they usually sleep in their crates to reinforce the pack leader mentality, but every once in a while my humanity sneaks in there and I let my chi under the covers and my JRT sleep at my side.
Don't tell anyone... :)
