Turn around and leave the room. If not possible, do not face him, and don't make eye contact. Ignore the pup until it settles down. Jumping pups may become spoiled dogs. Good luck!

put some small garden pebbles in a jar and every time your puppy jumps up shake the jar and say a firm- no, i did it with all 3 of mine from only a couple of months old and none of them jump up at anyone and they get the message really quickly. if you feel the puppy is not getting it push its bottom down into a sit position.after you say no . good luck!

In training we were told to turn away from the dog until it sits, or at least stops jumping on you. Then praise & pet. It took 2 days to teach my dogs.

Dogs respond to simple language. When he does this firmly say the words OFF! and push him down. Don't even give him the chance to make contact with you. If he tries a second time you need to grab him scruff of the neck with both hands and push him down saying in a gruff voice OFF. If this still doens't work then you need to do it again but when you grab him by the scruff of his neck, make him be submissive by making him lie on his back. During this time you need to be repeating OFF! He'll get it eventually. The key to training a dog quickly is to be consistant. Good luck!

the use of an empty paper towel role is use full! hitting him in the butt with it will make a loud sound that will get the pups attention, then say no in a stern voice! after a few times all you will have to do is show the paper towel role and he wont jump, and then after awhile he wont jump at all!

When he jumps up, gently pop him on the end of his nose with your open hand. Say "No" It doesn't hurt them, but they do not like it. He will quit almost immediately.
