I have to leave for a meeting out of state on Friday and will not be home until Sunday.

Now, I will clean the litter box before I go. If I give some "extra" food and a larger bowl of water, will my cat be o.k. while I am gone? or should I have someone stop in on Saturday and feed him?

Advice greatly appreciated.

I have a 3 month old kitten and he's always jumping around, bitting, scratching and never wants to be held. Will he ever stop being like that?

I was told by an annonymous person that cats are guardians of the sword.

What does this mean?

Im just an amature with three indoor cats.I have a big heart for cats and always try to do the best for thier well beings.Long story short, beside my cats, thier are a 3 cats which i feed at nights (orginally thier were five, one semi tamed one my friend graciously took in, and one, I also adopted.anyways, 2 cats have already been TNR, Trap Neuter Release, and the third one I just trapped in a humane trap and im taking her tommorrow to be spayed. (did i mention that i found two baby kittens on thursday which i caught and took to a no kill shelter whom is always full except for kittens which they say have no problem finding good homes)
Anyways, are thier any ametures out there who dont work for a vet or humane society who know what im going threw? I love cats dearly and have read that TNR is the best thing for feral cats livlihood, but the whole process of trapping, transporting to an animal clinic and then releasing back to the wild is very strenous on the nerves? can anyone relate

She's at least a year old, and she looks really healthy. We got her as a stray (a long while back) She's really small and skinny though. She's about the same size as my five month kitten, except thinner. She acts healthy and is playful. What could be wrong with her? or is this normal for some cats?

I used to know a vets assistant, and she used a home made flea powder concoction that was safe for kittens under 12weeks old. I have not see/talked to her in a long time, so I dont have her number anymore, so I was wondering if anyone out there knew of anything that would work. The kittens are only a week old. :-( and I dont want them to have fleas when I give them away, and I dont want to wait until they're over 12 weeks to give them away either. Could someone help, please? Thank you so much in advance!

I have a question about Soft Paws. I am thinking of using it on my cat. She over a year old. She doesnt really scratch furntiture, sometimes the curtains but I think she grew out of that. Anyway, my mom always complains that she scratches our chihuahuas, which I never see, but she claims to see scratches on their them. Anyway, my cat loves her scratching post and I am wondering if she will no longer enjoy the scratching post since she will not be able to scratch it.. anyone know about this?
I basically would only use it to prevent her from scratching out dogs, not for scratching furniture... so I feel bad about her scratching post that she loves so much...

she was found on the street so we took her in and she is currently lactating. does anyone know if this means she's already had her kittens and they are outside somewhere or has she not had them yet?

Are they expecting you or requesting you to do something. It is just disturbing when they point their rear at you and give you this look. I honestly believe they want you to do, "something"

I adopted a 6yo from friend. She’s thrown up 5 times in the last week. It always looks the same no matter what she’s eaten...reddish brown. I’ve been putting off taking her to the vet but I’m afraid I have to now. I thought I’d get opinions from other cat-owners first.

She was diagnosed as obese at one point in her life and put on diet food. I’ve been giving her two cans of Fancy Feast a day with a little Deli Cat on the side. I worried that she is overeating but she threw up after eating a few bites this morning and I assumed she had already emptied out her stomach from last night’s meal.

She likes licking. She licks everything. I’ve searched my apartment for things she might be licking that could be causing this and I think I took care of everything but can’t be sure.

She wakes me up at night which is totally unacceptable. I’m not mean to her, but I ignore her and give her a cold shoulder when she does it. I wonder if she worries about me being mad at her.

Any suggestions?

it says I have to wait 30 days before using anything else. I tried to use powder on my cat, but I couldnt cause he moves around too much. Any possibility I can still put the cat collar on him?

I dont have money right now to go see a vet, But I'm saving up as much as I can before I go. When I do, does anyone know of a price range that I ould be looking at?
