it says I have to wait 30 days before using anything else. I tried to use powder on my cat, but I couldnt cause he moves around too much. Any possibility I can still put the cat collar on him?

I dont have money right now to go see a vet, But I'm saving up as much as I can before I go. When I do, does anyone know of a price range that I ould be looking at?

Hi,
just bath the cat, go on the internet and buy Frontline or Advantage for cats and apply it. Price is usually around 30.00 to 40.00 for 4 to 6 month supply. Flea collars don't work ... they just chase the fleas to the other end of the cat. Go on ebay, type in Frontline or Advantage for Cats and go from there.

You're saving money, so don't waste it on stuff from pet stores! Honestly, collars and powders are of no use whatsoever. Pet stores aren't licensed to sell the appropriate chemicals for flea treatment.

You don't have to take the cat to the vet to be treated. You can just go in and get some Frontline over the counter, it's llike £16 for a three month supply - I suppose about $10-$20 if you're in the USA. Get this stuff on your cat's skin, not fur, and he'll be sorted.

You should possibly wash the powder off first - but then you'd have to wait 48 hours after bathing before you could apply Frontline spot-on. So, either get a bottle of the spray Frontline, or get a Capstar pill in the mean time. You should use Frontline spot-on regularly after that.

If you don't want to do the Frontline or Advantage, get a flea comb and use it on your kitty twice a day. It's a flat metal comb with really close teeth and you comb the fleas out and kill them. You have to do this consistently so they can't lay eggs again and I'd do it for a whole month to be sure.

Your other problem is that the fleas will get into rugs, carpet and upholstery so once you get them off your cat, you need to get a couple of flea bombs at the grocery or hardware store and set them off a couple of weeks apart in your home to get rid of the fleas for good.

But the other writer is correct, the best answer is to spend the money and get the Frontline or Advantage. It keeps the fleas out of your house and off your cat for good and is less toxic than the powders and collars for both you and your cat.

i know this sounds insane cause i thought so to but it works....

skin-so-soft from avon.....the spray!

start from their face to their tail and the flees with start jumping off.....and just wash your cat off with a wet wash cloth...wouldn't recommend a bath cause you will be scratched to shreads.....and then put a flee collar on your cat...

you don't have to take your cat to the vet for flees...really just for shots....

you can go to wal-mart and get flee medicine for a little under $6.00 and you put it on the back of their neck once a month!

enjoy your cat!
