My Siamese had a litter of four kittens, two of which have sold recently and gone to good homes. All kittens have been wormed, vaccinated and vet checked. One of the two kittens remaining is thriving but the other one has had a small case of diarrhoea (has settled now) and he seems to have stopped putting on any weight. He hasn't lost his appetite (raw chicken and roo meat). He is still running around but not as much since he lost two of his siblings. Could he be depressed or possibly stressed from the change and what can I do to help him put back on the weight?

My oldest cat is about 5 or 6 now, and he has become more vocal with age, and demanding!! If I'm on the computer he comes up behind me with his huge paws and he taps me on the back until I respond, when I do he follows by yelling at me, or sometimes he just sits in the middle of the floor staring at me and yelling at me, he does it, when he wants attention, food, treats, and if I don't give him the right thing he continues to yell and thumps his tail and squints his eyes...He also takes my chair when I get up, Not only that, but he has started waking me up in the mornings, I don't hear my alarm clock, which is usual, but now he has started coming and tapping me on the head, It's become a routine, he taps, II hit the snooze, plop him down and wrap my arm around him and we go back to sleep together, he usually doesn't like my arm around him, but he goes right to sleep, and he'll only do it when he wakes me up, not if I wake up first and go get him...he's so funny..

I've given a few answers, now it's my turn to ask one. I have a three-year old tabby that has gotten into a morning habit of having a little milk in his special dish. It's a ritual that is very important to him. I know that cats don't digest cow's milk very well, so I know it isn't good for him. But he loves it and would be devastated if I just stopped (he's VERY spoiled). Any alternatives that won't cost me big bucks and keep him happy?

I have a cat. If we leave an empty box laying around for more than two minutes, he will be laying in it. I have a cat condo that he never uses.

Does your cat do this?

I have had all my cats de-clawed, not to mention neutered/spayed(depending on the sex). They were all indoor cats. I don't want them clawing or inadverntanly scratching me or anyone else in my family or other spots where they are not supposed to claw. The vet makes sure they are under anestetic and all that stuff. It never has affected any of them. I mean really people???

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY, NOT "OH HOW COULD YOU BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...." OR NAME CALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What relationship do you imagine that your cat thinks s/he has with you? I've been thinking about this a lot lately and wondering how my cat perceives me. My sister think her cat things that she is the cat's mother. I don't think my cat thinks that. I think my cat thinks I'm a furless alien to be dominated, but I'm wondering how others imagine their cats perceiving them...

My Mothers cat disappeared for awhile not sure how long, I don't think it was more than a fews days. When Charlie came back, he was dragging his back legs, and was blind, now he is walking on all of them, and can see, and has remembered how to eat and wants to eat all the time, he also forgot how to use the cat liter and goes to the bathroom all over the house, but mainly in her bedroom. Does anyone know what may have happened to Charlie, and if he is going to get even better or should we put him to sleep, we don't want to do this and yes we took him to the vet, and they aren't sure what happen to him either.

we took her to the vet several times because she had this increasingly darker discharge from both of her eyes, and she was finally diagnosed as having blocked tear ducts.

What upset me was that the vet said that they could stick a sort of "pipe cleaner" down her ducts to clear them, but they prefered not to do it because "they would just get blocked again". So, my poor kitty has to live with brown matter oozing from her eyes, constantly having to be wiped away by my dad and I.

Has anybody else encountered this problem, and what did you do about it?

My cat is part siamese. Right before we b rought her home someone told me "Good luck with the whining. I too know the love of a whiny kitty."
She meows when she walks or sees someone, so we never trip on her.. it is pretty cute and not as annoying as a full siamese one is supposed to be
But why do siamese whine?

A stray that we feed and take care to some extent is staying in front of my house since this morning. She used to stay before but it was only for a while. However, today, she keeps sleeping and having rest. Besides her long stay, I find nothing unusual such as groaning. What do you think? Is she sick or just having a rest?

Here are the symptoms:

1: Licking off huge patches of fur wherever she can reach.
2: Fur on the back of her neck is falling off in patches (she does not wear a collar)
3: Out of character purring
4: Personality change (friendlier, less quick to attack)
5: Labored breathing at times.
6: Loss of shine in coat
7: strange lumps on the back of her front arms, which seem to have short whiskers

Here are the stats:
8 Years old
Small frame, normal weight
Normal eating habits

She is an ex-ferrel cat, and she is a mouser, she completely eats the mice she gets. Same with water-bugs. It seems to me that something is wrong with her, you can tell. She often looks like she's in pain, head down, eyes half-closed, and ears turned back slightly.

I really want to attend a cat show in Los Angeles or Las Vegas. Does anybody know about any future shows? I LOVE CATS and attending a show would be so much for me.

About three days ago, it was oozing white stuff and then yesterday, there was a hole in the wound. Today, the hole is filled in and she's been licking it a lot for the past few days. Should I take her back to the vet?
Was it just a botched injection (she was fighting the vets some) but everythings okay?
Is this normal?

My cat recently had 4 kittens. When i found them, they had fleas all over their bodies, two of them had one eye sealed shut and one appears to be underweight. if anybody has any suggestions on how to get them healthy it would be appreciated. I don't have that much money so if anyone has any solutions that are effective and don't cost a bundle i'd appreciate it.
