My Siamese had a litter of four kittens, two of which have sold recently and gone to good homes. All kittens have been wormed, vaccinated and vet checked. One of the two kittens remaining is thriving but the other one has had a small case of diarrhoea (has settled now) and he seems to have stopped putting on any weight. He hasn't lost his appetite (raw chicken and roo meat). He is still running around but not as much since he lost two of his siblings. Could he be depressed or possibly stressed from the change and what can I do to help him put back on the weight?

He has had specially bought kitten milk and has never been outdoors or come into contact with any other cats. He does seem more talketive than the other remaining kitten and very clingy to me.

Well, I'm not a pro, but when I raised a litter (and recently, when I adopted a newbie), some do get discombobulated when they're missing litter mates. We kept things like blankets around that still had the litter mates' scents on them for about a week before we washed them. That seemed to help some. When they cried or displayed distress, we always made sure to acknowledge them with petting or eye contact and talking. We picked them up a lot, too. Remember they're used to having a lot of play mates around to romp with anytime they wanted to. He might be a bit more "sensitive" than the other kitten. Like people, our cats have radically different degrees of perception. It varies from cat to cat. In time, he should be better. Just give him as much attention as he needs.

I think he is aware of the changes in the household and it is stressing him. The kittens you have already sold were his litter mates, they cuddled, played, fought and bonded with each other.
I had orphaned kittens last fall and when they got old enough to find homes, one of the smaller ones started behaving like yours. If he couldn't see me, he'd come running meowing very loudly. I would talk to him, pick him up, cuddle him for a few minutes and he was fine to go and play then.
That is what I would suggest. Give him lots of attention. If you have named him, call his name and talk to him when you are in the same room. Cuddle and stroke him every chance you can.
If he hasn't lost his appetite, is eating well and the diarrhea has passed, he should start to put on weight. If he doesn't, you may need to speak to your vet to confirm there is nothing physical that has caused him to quit growing.
Purrs and prayers for you and kittens.

i had a Siamese cat before and i thought i`d let you know this.when i bought mine he was the runt of the litter,he was the week one,and unfortunately some time later he started off with the runs and to cut a very long story short he had bowel disease since birth which we later found out about,( he has since been put to sleep )his poos were soft now and again, then ended up with the runs.he was very depressed.he ended up loosing weight and going off his food.its just a suggestion but i would take the cat to the vets to get him checked out. because all Siamese are inter bread they very commonly have serious illnesses,i know, i was always at the vets with mine.was there any blood in his stools?is he still eating ok?good luck
oh by the way,i was told by the vets never to give a siamese cat milk, their tummys are too delicate to cope.

You may need to take this little guy back to the vet. It could be something as simple as stress, but I'm not so sure.
Also, see about getting him kitten chow. He needs something with a lot of calories and nutrients in it. If you don't see anything to your liking, ask the vet for recommendations.
Good luck!

Usually (if he is the runt), they will be very clingy. If depression persists I would recommend taking him to the vet.
