My cat is part siamese. Right before we b rought her home someone told me "Good luck with the whining. I too know the love of a whiny kitty."
She meows when she walks or sees someone, so we never trip on her.. it is pretty cute and not as annoying as a full siamese one is supposed to be
But why do siamese whine?

Just part of the breed, some breeds are naturally more "vocal" than others. Some people have theorized that it has to do with the age of the breed; siamese have been bred domestically for a very long time, thus are much needier. Oriental cats or cats with hair mutations just tend to be noisy little babies. Enjoy!

They are 'talkers'. Just what is part of the breed. Our kittens (nearly 1) have some siamese in them, but only two were talkers. I've had two siamese in the past, so I completely understand it!

My cat is a rescue cat and she crys and whines like that too so we think she may be part siamese. I can't leave the room without her crying!

Its just the nature of Siamese to talk alot.
Burmese do it to, though not quite as much.
These cats are very people oriented & love
talking. Kiki, my Burmese, talks anytime
she wants to play fetch & some other things.
Sometimes i wonder who is training whom ?

Siamese cats are known for being talky and also somewhat possessive. It's just how they are.

Siamese are notoriously noisy. And mean.
