I have 5 cats, and I would like to know what they think at times.

You are either naturally telepathic or you are not. With cats, empathy counts for more. If you have 5 cats and can't work it out then my answer would be to forget it.

Why would you need to communicate telepathically? Mine does a good job of telling me what he is thinking by screaming loudly and knocking stuff over.

You got to 1st inject them with some of your spit on each toes
Then leave in the wilderness for 1 week to enhance their senses, then you must sacrifice one and feed it to te rest

YOu can tell by their body language and signs.
Just like the wolf can tell you when it is angry or sad.
