Live traps, Hon. You can either purchase one, or borrow one from your local animal shelter. Tuna fish (the people kind) is the very best bait you can use---kittens can't resist!
You may catch only one at a time. Just keep resetting the trap with the tuna until you've got them all.
These kittens sound a bit feral Hon, so please wear heavy gloves, preferably leather, when you're removing them from the trap.
If the kittens are small, however, they should still socialize (especially if the mama is tame and they see you handling her.) Food is the very best way to a kitten's heart; when I adopted two feral babies, I kept them in their own room, and every time I entered I had a can of Fancy feast with me! It didn't take them long to accept and love me.
Bless you for helping this little family...I hope you're able to get the mama cat spayed, too. Best of luck to you Hon.

Cat, domestic and feral do not like their kittens bothered at first. Is there a place you can put a good house (box) out of the weathers, with some blankets (comfy) Maybe she will move her kittens to better housing (nearer to you). If she is feral she may never completely trust you to touch the kittens.

And I am so sorry you had to put a comment about being rude. I wish the people who are not smart enough to actually help with the conversation would just keep their stupid mouths shut and stop trying to harm other people. This "answer" system is really great for people to help people and It depresses me when "mean, low intelligent creeps try to hurt people they don't even know"

Keep building up her trust with you by giving her food and trying to pet her to reasure her that everything is ok and your not going to harm her. Try puting some food in a kennel and wait for her to come buy and eat it while she's in the kennel close the door fast so she can't get out. Becareful though because cats are very smart and she won't be likely to go in the kennel again if you scare her and she gets away the first time. If you really can't get her by next week call the local humane society. Usually they have traps that they can set up around the yard with food so they can capture her and get her the proper treatment she needs. Don't remove her from her kittens though. Good Luck

I've usually had pretty good luck with humane traps built for skunks, raccoons, etc... Just put a little wet cat food at the back, and you may trap one by morning. You can usually rent one of these traps from hardware stores or pest control agencies. Make sure to give the kitties to someone/an organization that has experience taming feral cats, or at least a trap, neuter, release organization. Good luck!

Try a live trap. You can sometimes get them from a humane society or shelter, and some store sell them too, like Farm and Fleet or some pet stores. They will not harm the cats.
Or, contact a feral cat rescue and see if they have any tips.
I too have a mom and baby I'm planning to rescue. If nothing else, I'll get them vetted and fixed so there aren't more unwanted kitties roaming around.
Good luck!

ok you probly wont use this because it as close as something that can happen in TV as you can get!! but turn a box upside down then prop it open with a stick put some food in there then tie a string to the stick and wait and watch when you see a cat in there pull the string and make the box fall o thats only if you cant get to a store and get a cat trap though

i'm not really sure if it'll really work.. but you can probably set a trap or something? Sort of like how people make holes and put something over it to cover it up and put something there that they might eat and then if they eat it then they fall into the hole but i'm not really sure if iti'll work because the cat can jump out xP so if you make a hole very deep but not that fat then I think that'll work ^__^
