My cat recently had 4 kittens. When i found them, they had fleas all over their bodies, two of them had one eye sealed shut and one appears to be underweight. if anybody has any suggestions on how to get them healthy it would be appreciated. I don't have that much money so if anyone has any solutions that are effective and don't cost a bundle i'd appreciate it.

You can put Advantage on the mother cat, NOT the kittens.
It would definetly help.
Dont know what else to tell you if you cant take them to the vet....except that, they would be better off to take them to a humane society or shelter because if you cant afford the proper care for them they would be better off.
You are a caring person obviously, because you are wanting to help them. Its tough when you want to help but cant afford it (believe me I know how you feel)
Not trying to be rude or mean, just being honest. sorry...

About the eyes, they stay shut for several days, so wait and see. About the fleas, if the mother will let you near the babies, use a flea comb and do your best to get rid of them. They are too young to use any flea bath or spray on. If you can't afford a vet, you'll just have to wait it out and see if they do ok on their own.

Are the kitten improving?? If not take them to the ASPCA, where they can get care. If they are improving. and seem strong enough a good soapy bath, no chemicals will help the fleas. Get them dry, wet kittens can catch a cold. Then just good mommy food.

first of all, you ought to are starting to be your male cat NEUTERED. Please gain this as quickly as achieveable. this is irresponsible to not get your cats fastened because of the fact maximum cats that finally end up in shelters (as i'm particular those kittens will) are euthanized (placed to sleep). There in basic terms isn't sufficient space. next, it takes a on an identical time as for kittens to open their eyes at different cases. except there is a few discharge or buildup, do not concern approximately it. If there is, then take them to the vet right this moment. in certainty, take them to the vet besides because of the fact stray kittens generally have worms and parasites. you additionally can get their mom fastened so as to sidestep her from contributing extra to overpopulation. SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR CATS.
