my cat injured herself and broke the ball in her hip. surgery is a last option and is really expensive, for me anyway. Vet says she may recover on her own and i am wondering if anybody can comment on the likeliehood of this happening without surgery. she is cage bound and will remain so for the next 4 - 6 weeks. it happened almost two days ago and i dont think she has eaten either...is this need for concern.

Let's say, will they remember if anyone has been either nice or mean to them? I'm asking this because while I was out of town for a week, I asked a friend to look after my cat. It's been 6 months now, but every time my friend comes over my cat hides from my friend, and nothing in the world will make my cat come out. What gives?

I got my 5 month old kitten spayed yesterday and the vet made her wear a cone. She's having a really difficult time eating and drinking water. I've tried a flat plate, a round one and nothing seems to work for her. Any suggestions?

my cat is 21 years old,he is in good health generally but has started going to the toilet everywhere.Luckily he spends most of his life asleep in the garden, but leaves really stinky little poos all over the place, they are hard to clear up because they are so squidgy and gloopy, they also stink the whole garden out!
In addition he is constantly hungry, meowing outside at 4 in the morning, but will only eat those little foil packets of food.
what to do? he has been wwith me for a long time ,out lived a brother cat ,two dogs, one marriage and is the only pet to my three young children under 7.

Anybody else had a similar problem, how did you solve it

I would like to get a Scottish Fold as a cat but I would like to know if they are loveable and friendly cats. Are there any grooming tips I need to know or anything else important?

And do you think Lotus would be a cute name for a cat?

I have two female cats, and both are pregnant. They are sisters, as they came from the same litter. They never fought before, except for one time while in heat. They attack eachother when ever one goes near the other, and they also fight over who pets them. Any Help?

Hi there, My cat Tootsie is a very sweet and affectionate cat and I love her to bits, but recently she seems upset when I stroke her, she always loves to cuddle up with me but for the past week or so she cries when I stroke her (I only stroke her head because she doesn't like me stroking her back.)
She gets excited to see me and will head butt me affectionatley but when I stroke her she cries, i'm so scared that Im hurting her but im so gentle with her and im confused because she headbutts me? So her head can't be sore or can it? Then the other day I went to give her a cuddle but she just smacked me in the face! Am I doing anthing wrong? im confused. It really upsets me to she her cry and when I try to comfort her she smacks me away now, is it me thats making her upset?
she has been spayed also

Here she is...

Today i was play with my cat diva , who is a black and white domestic cat. After a while she started flicking her tail around and then began huffing and puffing like a dog....it was really weird.

Is this normal for a cat?
What else could she have been doing?

I gave my kittens a bath and now one of them is being very aggressive and mean to the other kitten. I read on a pet site that you're supposed to keep them seperated after a bath but I didn't read that till after I let them around each other after the bath. What should I do?
