Yes, I used to be a dog person, I still like them. But now I have 3 kittens, they are lovely, and very smart.

I've never been a cat or dog person per say. I've always liked both for their unique personality traits. I recently decided that if a get a pet again soon it will definitely be a cat.
I offered to pet sit for my ex boyfriend last summer, because he was going to be gone for a week I brought the dog home with me. Only a few days into the vacation, I got a phone call from him saying that he wasn't coming back. So I got stuck with his dog for 6 months while I tried to find a home for her.
She was a great dog, but she's a Border Collie and I had a one bedroom apartment. She was bored out of her mind. I could buy her a chewing bone that was designed to last for a week and she would destroy it in a matter of hours. I also had problems with her going to the bathroom in the house. I know things would have been better if I had a house with a yard and a lot more time to spend with her, but it made me realize just how high maintenance dogs can be. I now prefer the cats independent, self-reliant attitude.

Nope. Always been a cat person. Not too fond of dogs. I would NEVER harm them or any animal for that matter, unless it was attacking a cat of mine then I would go nuts. I've dealt with that before. Some dogs can be downright mean.

I used to love cats when I was little, then we got a dog, and loved him. Then years later I got a cat, which I didn't like all too much, not a nice cat.. but still love it. I turned from a cat person to a dog person, I'd say.

I am a dog person! I would rather have dogs then cats. You need to take care of dogs more. Cats take care of them self.

Nope! I love both dogs and cats. Actually, I like pretty much anything with four legs except pigs. Pigs bite!

Yes , I had 2 dogs and now i have 17 cats ...boy are they differant to raise lol ....dogs are more loyal , but cats are very independent and can be left alone longer .

MY allergies kept me from being a cat person, but when a cat came home from college w/ my son. My allergies seem to have been out grown, I know have em and love em, we also have a dog and we will always have both now.....

no offense,but i cant stand cats? while i wouldn't see any harm come to any animal,cats i just cant get on with. have you noticed how they prowl about looking at you with there back arched as if you're a leper. this is why dogs have round bums,and cats have flat bums? cos 12.00 o'clock at night they get a kick up the a**e out of the back door,and its pot luck if you'll see em the next day. no always a dog man myself.
