I have a cat that looks a bit like a Bombay. Is he part, full, or none Bombay?

And are there any "signs" to tell?

My male cat has breast tumors. We just found out at the vets office yesterday. They're running bloodwork to make sure he's healthy enough for surgery to remove the tumors and test for malignancy.
My question is:
Has anyone else out there had a cat undergo this sort of surgery? We are worried about his chances of survival and the quality of the remainder of his life. The vet really couldn't answer for how long he'll have to live, because they don't yet know if the tumors are malignant.
My husband and I are not sure we would want him to go through an agonizing mastectomy surgery when his life may not be extended by much longer anyway.
Does anyone have any insight?
We just want to make sure he has a good quality of life for whatever time he has left.

I was going to give him a bath, but because he was kicking, I tied him down. He got free, but the rubber band was still on his foot. Will he have it removed????

My daughter picked out a cat at the shelter months ago & we adopted her. The shelter told us she was the cuddliest cat there, not very active & very loving.. We thought just the cat for us! My daughter was diagnosed with PTSD & we thought a cuddly cat would help her. Well when we brought the kitty home she first stayed hidden for a few days, totally normal. But then she started getting more active. But we didn't mind. But everytime you would go to pet her she would bite you for no reason. not hard, but it still scares you. You can't pick her up or she will howl in protest & if you don't put her down within seconds she goes to thrashing & clawing. I have 2 kids & this doesn't seem like a child friendly cat. I thought maybe we just needed to give her time, but it's been over 4 months & it's getting worse. And another thing she jumps in mine & my husbands bed at night EVERY NIGHT & we try to kick her out, but she jumps back up several times & wakes us up constantly through the night!

My mom's friend found a stray cat that was pregnant, so she adopted it and raised the kittens until they were old enough to give away. She had one kitten left that she needed to find a home for or else it would have to live in a shelter because she couldn't afford another cat, so my mom said we would take it becuase she was going to let me get a cat. Well anyways before that we had gone to a shelter and i had found a cat that i immeditaly fell in love with so we filled out adoption papers for it and now we're waiting for them to call us to let us know if we can adopt him. Well if we can my mom said i would have to give the other cat away to my friend because she doesnt want two cats. Well the thing is i already bonded to the cat that i have to give away if we get the other cat. How can i change my mom's mind about giving away the cat beacuse i can tell she bonded to it too.

I am buying a new vac in the next couple of weeks and have 4 cats and want one that picks up most if not all the cat hair. I am leaning towards the dyson DC14, but would love to hear of any others that do the job.

My family found a stray cat a couple of years ago, near Halloween, so it seemed fitting to name him Halloween. Of course, he was already neutered, so we started calling HIM Holly... Thinking it was a female... Anyways, he lives mostly indoors, although he goes outdoors sometimes when it's not so hot. Next month will be my thirteenth birthday, and since my dog favors my mom and older sister, and Holly favors my little sister, I really wanted a kitten from my horseback riding instructor's litter. I fell in love with them. Unfortunately, the kitten I REALLY fell in love with is a male. I nicknamed him Hi5er, because when you touch his paw he gives you a "high five." Holly has never been around other cats since we've had him. I think he could definitely get used to a new kitten, but what about a male? Please don't answer "Sorry, I don't know" or anything of the sort, because this is Yahoo ANSWERS, made for people who have questions and know answers. Thanks so much!

I do not know what this stuff is. I assumed they all had a cold, but I think this is contagious. I have a cat who now has the same thing. It looks awful.

I have a female adult cat and currently she is eating Meow Mix Hairball Control. I did a lot of research on healthy cat foods and the ingredients in Meow Mix are scaring me. There's a bunch of "chicken by-product, corn gluten meal, food coloring, digest, etc." What is all this?? Wtf is "digest"? and "by-product?" And cats don't eat corn!! I looked up high quality food such as Wellness and Innova, but they are so expensive and I can only buy it online. Wellness is like, $13 just for a 3 lb bag!! Solid Gold is the cheapest I've found so far; it's $7.99 for a 4 lb bag. But my mom won't buy it! She said "it's too expensive," and "you cat is fine". I do NOT want my cat eating this cheap Meow Mix crap!! I'm the only one who actually CARES for Lola! (that's my cat's name, by the way). I've already tried negotiating with my mom, but she just won't come around. What am I supposed to do??!! All I want is for my cat to live a long and healthy life!!

Please don't say Cat Pepper - I tried it along with ground black pepper, garlic powder, an animal deterrent called "Pets away", all to no avail. A lady suggested I use mothballs, someone said a plastic snake! I need to know if anyone out there has a method that has proven results. (don't say an AK47 either) !!

I have 5 cats and 2 dogs. They are all infested with fleas really bad. I just purchased the "HARTZ" brand of once a month drops for all of them. I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes for it to take effect.
I just gave the animals their first treatment 2 days ago , and they are still badly infested with the fleas.
2 of the cats seem to be very sick over this, they are getting very skinny. I have no other means of money, as I have spent my last penny on this product, so I don't have the finances to be taking them to a vet.
I was just wondering if maybe it takes time to get rid of the fleas. I expected them to be gone instantly with this product.
Obviously i was wrong.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!!??????
To be more specific, I bought "Hartz control, once a month drops", the one where you apply it their back between their shoulder blades.
Hopefully someone can help me, as I love my animals very much and can't stand to see them suffer.

just a couple of days ago I gave her to play with some catnip. She played with it and sniffed it for like an hour, then she lost interest in it. I let her sniff some every day but she doesn't wan't to play with it anymore. she completely ignores the smell and the herb. Why is this happening? Also how can I make her gain interest in catnip again.

what a disaster. first, the leash, if you didnt know, they can do quite a lot of harm to you when you have them attached to a leash. going nuts and clawing like he never clawed before. i never knew cats could be so dangerous. canèt forget those back claws and jumping in every direction. he is probally traumatized and i will have the scars to remind me of that day forever. such a bad idea. thanks.

He has toys and other stuff to chew on but it's not good enough. He has destroyed my phone charger, our cable TV wire, our laptop power cable, our microwave power cable, many bags of cereal and rice, our swiffer, towels, paper towels, speaker wire, extension cords, power strips, shoe strings, flip flops, ect. We've tried the "shaking coins in a cup" thing...but that just gets him riled up. We've tried spraying him with water...but he likes water to the point where if he gets into the bathroom while we're showering he wants in so he can play in the water (dog much?). He's a year and a half old, neutered, and he never used to do this up until the last two months. He's satan.

I know it's kind of gross! Is she sick if throw up comes out, as well?

This is her second one in a week. They are huge hairballs. Is that normal? Is she sick?

My cat is about a year old. My husband refused to get him neutered and now he pees and sprays anywhere and everywhere in my house. I've tried spraying him with a water bottle and putting him in the litter pan. I can't get the smell out and he's destroying my home. I love the cat and my husband would never hear of finding him a new home (sorry to say but he's becoming a bit much for me to handle) is there anything i can do?? I recently moved his littler pan into another room that was quieter because i was told he minght not like where it was (in the wash-room) but just today i found our dvd case (with more than 200 dvds) soaked in pee again!!! please help!!

I have two kittens, brothers 15 weeks old (going to be neutered next week) They love to bask in the sun by the window and watch the World pass by. But as I watch them, I can't help but wonder if I am depriving them of a happier life if I let them out instead of keeping them indoors all the time. I have been told it is cruel of me not to let them out. What do you think ?
