They dont go to the toilet but the male cat sprays my daughters toys to scent mark them...I tried putting some stuff down which claimed to put them off but it did nothing...any tips?

Hello. My 12 year old cat has been ill for a bit now. I kept thinking it was just a touch of something, ut it has been going on for a very long time now. Over the past couple weeks, she has gone from being a bit thin, to no appetite and not moving around much. I bought vitamin gel for the pet store, and was hoping it was just a mild "flu" of sorts. I now am very concerned. She just lays and is having a hard time breathing. I do not have a lot of money for a vet, and the idea of putting her to sleep is very traumatic to me. Possibly someone may have an idea of something I could try to see if it may work to help bring her back to wellness? Thank you. Nate

i was wondering if any one knew what was going on w/ my cat? hes acting normal, eating puring playing...ect.. but he keeps licking his chops as if he got into penut butter?.... we dont have any so its not that... but as hes doing this a little foam comes out... yes im taking him in but my husband is at work right now.. just wondering if any one experienced this.. it seems as tho its getting better but hes still smakin his chops?.... any help would be great!

My cat is approx. 7 years old, is male and neutered. Lately we've been noticing weird things going on with him. His pupils change shape, one will be quite large the other quite small. He can't stand being touched anymore. When you pet his back he starts to twitch and tries to nip at you. He has a hard time laying down and getting back up and you can tell its quite uncomfortable for him doing this anymore. I'm not sure what to do and I just CANNOT afford a vet right now. Any advice what it might be?

my cat is really nice, i just dont want anything to happen to them if we touch them, and she wont put them in a box that we made up for her , it was kind of small so should we try a bigger box?

i found a stray cat(female), very friendly and cute, but i also have 2 other cats, one of them (male) can be very mean, he hisses at every other cat he sees. the other (female) scares easily. i have them separated, but im scared for them to meet. what can i do, to make sure they are all safe and dont fight.

I am moving across the country. Its a 24 hour drive. And I have one small dog and a older outdoor cat that are absolutely are in love. I think they would die with out each other so I need to move them. The dog I am not worried about b/c she is staying with friends already in the state we are moving to, but the cat is a different story. Its really never been in a crate and its been outdoors for most of its adult life and its an awful long drive- how will she deal w/out going 2 the potty and she's not exactly litter box trained. We will be moving in our van were we will have 2 German shepherds in the back seat and a family member will be driving the u-haul. The family member said that he would drive with the cat in the cab but he REALLY doesn't want to hear cat crying. Will she ever shut-up?
And when we get there how do I keep it from running away.

Any suggestions or comments or hints will be great the best answer with the most detail and logic will get 10pts.

I just took my two Ragdolls to the vet this morning to be vaccinated for rabies and distemper. The vet just called and they both had reactions (both vomited and had diarrhea) and one is now on Oxygen!

Is it really necessary to continue with yearly vaccinations, and should I discuss ending future vaccinations with my vet? I don't want to have to worry about this again. Especially since my cats never leave the house (unless they go to the vet) and aren't in contact with any other animals.

What do you think?

Have an outdoor cat. Only i can pet. She comes indoors to eat but freaks if i close the door. Vet says to keep her inside 24hrs. before spading. She will freak out if i try. I can't have her having more kittens. Don't know what to do.

a typical argument-
me- why dont you want a cat?
mom- because i dont want one
me- i know that, but why? you said yourself that i take really good care of my current pets. so why cant i get a cat? i scoop the litter box every other day and feed the cat we have now, plus i clean the frog and snake tank every other day too.
mom- because i dont want another pet we have too many animals and i dont like cats.
me- thats not true (i almost got a parrot but changed my mind because i might need to live in an apartment and they would be too loud for that)
mom- quit harassing me about it, you just keep asking for more and more and more and you arent grateful for anything you have now. we already have a cat and shes perfect-
me- except for the fact that she doesnt like people
mom- WE DONT NEED ANOTHER. MORE CATS ARE MORE POOP AND THEY FIGHT AND PEE
me- we already went over this, I am cleaning the litter box and feeding the cat. I pay for every aspect of it. i dont understand why i cant get a cat...
