Sometimes when you look at the kitten a name will pop into your head, or if you wait until they're a little older their personality may help. Sometimes I name my kittens after a favorite friend, such as Barbara B. , or Johnny S. or after a favorite relative, such as Gracie or Bud. I've also named cats for flowers, depending on what color they are. One time we named a litter after the characters in the cartoon "Rocky and Bullwinkle" -- we had Boris, Natasha, Sherman, and Mr. Peabody. If you have a favorite singing group, sports figure or movie star, that can provide names, too.

I don't think I can name anything, kid or animal without meeting them first and seeing what a bit of their personality is! I named my first daughter before she was born, when I saw her she looked nothing like the name I picked out, get to know your new kitty for a day or so, and then decide!
I have a cat named stinky, because she was found in a dumpster, and even after a bath smelled so bad for awhile, she now is such a clean sweet smelling kitty, but Stinky fits her personality, she can open cabinets, and is always in trouble!

the coolest name i ever hear dof for a cat was the little brown and black cat names : Beans.
My cat's name is Charlie. The other cats around my neighborhood are named: Charcole, Hobbes, Trix, Spaz, Pretty Kitty, Mama Kitty and Freeport.
It really just depends on the cat's personality and looks. A name will come to you and it will fit. No need to rush into one.
