I was going to give him a bath, but because he was kicking, I tied him down. He got free, but the rubber band was still on his foot. Will he have it removed????

Okay, first of all, rubber bands and cats are a no-no together. Don't do that ever again, if your cat survives. Okay, I'm just making you feel worse than you do from all those other ones, but I mean it. Take the cat to the vet immedietly, don't do it yourself, you may hurt your cat. If you can, get the cat to the CLOSEST vet possible! If you can't handle giving your cat a bath, ask a proffesional. If you are afraid of the price, ask a friend who has a cat to help you, one of you hold the cat still, and the other one shampooes it. Okay? I'm sorry about all the mean stuff I said, but that's practicly Abusing your pet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please emal me at my msn email address, since my yahoo won't work aliciaswarts@msn.com I'm a pet lover and will do anything to help a pet. Nomatter what the problem is!

Remove the rubber band. Take your cat to a vet and don't bother returning to pick your cat up, because you don't deserve to have any living creature. What you've done is abuse an animal. Hopefully you are just a wiseguy & you didn't do it.

The rubber band is cutting off the blood supply to your cats foot. If it is not taken off the flesh on your cats foot will die from lake of blood. It will then start to rot and poison your cats blood. Please take your cat to the vet immediately before it gets that bad.

I hope to god you're kidding.
That's animal abuse.
Get the rubber band off your cat's leg right now!
If it doesn't return to normal size, get to a vet's office immediately. He may form a blood clot or something.

you should NEVER try to tie down a cat to give it a bath-most cats do not like water and giving it a bath should be done by a professional if you cant do it yourself-you have to take it to the vet now-the rubberband probaly cut off circulation to its paw or something else even worse than that

he might have gotten it off himself. but you better find him and make sure!!! cat's don't need baths, they naturally bathe themselves!!! dogs on the other hand get smelly. don't abuse your cat like that. if you leave the rubber band on too much the blood with get trapped, and his foot will lose feeling, maybe even permanently. if you are really worried take him to the vet!!!

Take the rubber band off! Or is this just some stupid made - up question,because I can't believe anyone would be so stupid and cruel,putting rubberbands on their cat's feet!

umm take it OFF?!

WHY would you tie your cat down? cats can bathe themselves perfectly well, and if he really distected it THAT much, you shouldnt have been doing it in the first place!

it is common sense that if a rubber band is on his foot, take it off before it cuts off his circulation... also if he got it off himself he could have swallowed it and gotten serious intestinal problems! if his foot doesnt return to normal size in a few hours PLEASE get him to the vet ASAP!

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

-.-;
If you ever restrain a cat, don't use something that will stick to the cat like that. Use something that's "quick release". Even if it's a massive towel that someone else has to hold his legs in.

Get that rubber band off ASAP and take him to the vet, his foot may recover...or it may have to be amputated.
