Don't do anything. Get Mia fixed. It is possible for a cat who has never had kittens to suddenly start producing milk. Some cats just have a stronger maternal instinct than others. But, it's probably time to spay her.

Good luck. And don't freak out. It won't kill either cat. It's actually good for their bonding.

Since there's no milk there, it's got to be a comfort issue. The easiest way is to make it taste too bad to have the kitten try to suck.

There's something called Bitter Apple that they sell at the pet supplies store. It's harmless but tastes awful, like biting into a banana skin. You can put it onto the area the kitten is focusing on your other cat and don't worry about it bothering Mia -- she just won't clean there for a while when she grooms. The kitten will try one taste and stop.

The stuff is used on pets to stop them from licking at wounds, pulling their fur out, overgrooming due to stress and other things. With people some use it on their kids' fingernails to stop nailbiting. Around homes a lot of pet owners rub it onto their stereo or computer cords so their pets don't chew them.

do not give the kitten milk, this can cause diarrhea. there are kitten milk re-placers on the market that is safe for the kitten, but if it is eating on it's own, then it doesn't need that. the kitten was mostly taken from the mother to soon. but the adult cat will settle this problem on her own, it just takes time.

she is just wanting to suckle some more. i dont know if she was taken away from her mom too soon? but alot of that is a comforting feeling for her. if your other cat allows it, i wouldnt worry about it. it will stretch out her nipples though, but that wont hurt her. you could give her kitten formula in a bowl and see if that helps, or even give her a bottle a little more. but your older cat will make her stop if she doesnt want it.

Keep Vaseline on her boobs. Sounds like the kitty may of been taken from Mom to soon. Are you giving the kitty a little warm milk?

let them be. Cats tend to solve their own problems.
