Hi Sarah,

Yes, this is completely normal :-)

If you think of it, their stomachs are so tiny and considering they should be fed 4 small meals a day, they are likely to go to the toilet at least 4 times a day too!

As you have 2 kittens, you may want to consider getting a second litter tray if you don't already have one. At least that way you won't have any accidents if one litter tray gets too full whilst you are not at home.

Make sure you are feeding them a quality brand of kitten food, not Whiskas or anything similar (think Iams, Purina or Science plan). The slight extra cost will be worth it in the longrun as you'll have far less vet fees when they grow up. Also consider introducing some dry food if you want to, as this is better for their teeth :-) (and it makes their poo a bit less smelly!)

Don't worry, they sound like perfectly healthy little kitties!

xx Emmie

As long as the poos are normal, it isn't a problem. It's only squishy or weird poos you have to worry about - quality is far more important than quantity!

Regarding the rest of your question, what food are you feeding? This is not to do with the poo situation, I just want you to be aware that many foods, supermarket ones mainly, give ridiculous feeding guidelines that result in fat cats. As your cats are kittens they will not become over weight yet as they are still growing, but when they are fully grown you should be aware of this - a decent quality food should not need to be fed at more than 2 pouches a day. I know Whiskas recommend something ludicrous like 3-4 pouches a day, which is probably how much of that junk you need to feed to get all the nutrients, but it makes cats fat! Also, always feed to the weight you want a cat to be, not the weight it is.

it's normal. kittens and puppies go a lot more when they are young. they will grow out of it.

Yes. Kittens are like babies, they go a lot.

At that age, you should be registered with a vet and they should be checked up regular. it dont seem normal to me. please take em to a vet straight away!
