I only share this out of my genuine concern for you. If you don't believe in Cats you will never know the eternal purr. Is that really a risk you want to take? If you believe in pussycats, an they do not exist - no harm is done to you. If you do not believe in pussycats - and after death you find yourself in the great littebox in the sky - you will be just another piece of kitty roca.

ok, I just got a kitten..almost 100% sure she has worms..I adopted her and dont know how old she is..I'm guessing 8 to 10 weeks..I would like to take her to the vet asap but i'm only 17 yo and a huge vet bill is not somethingI'm too happy with at the moment but I need to and will take her...my question is, how much does it normally cost to get worming med and shots???

What is in my cat's eyes? It's like when you wake up in the morning, that gloopy stuff that makes your vision a little blury. She has huge ones and gets it a couple times a week. It's pretty gross to clear out from her eyes. Where is it coming from? Is her eye shedding skin or something?

I am open to suggestions to address how to encourage the cat to be less timid and accept his surroundings... The cat wat a stud cat at a cattery that apparently changed moods overnight from a docile and happy male to a skittery and timid fella...

A friend suggested hormones from a vet, others say to neuter him, although after 2 years it seems like it may be too late to make the difference it would make with a kitten... Any suggestions?

I love my kitten, and wouldn't thinking of getting rid of her, but when we jumps up on the couch, she scratches it to shreds. Just the surface but they're brand new! What do I do?

So i have a 16 week old bengal who has the runny poops, she's had them since the day i brought her home.
she was been on albon and electrolytes when i got her and now i've even switched her food from wellness because i was told it could be too rich for her. (and yes.. the proper way)
Right now i have her on metronidazole in case it's inflamed bowels... she needs to be on it for 10 days, it's been five so far.. and no change.

someone told me to check her for enteric pathogens.. does anyone know what that is? i've never heard of it before. the person said since she's a purebred she may have this problem forever. i've had her tested for parasites and what not.. all came back negative but still no luck in curing the poops.
she's drinking lots, eating lots and gaining weight, and is perfectly normal... besides the poops and i'm out of ideas!!

so...what makes a person a cat hoarder?

There's this situation, where there's a small, extremely young kitten that was basically dropped off at my grandma's house which is being sold and vacant at the time. It's definately not being taken care of the way it should be beings the thing is so young. What should I do? I have an older cat who stays at my house and two other cats (one being a 10 wk old kitten) who lives at my boyfriends house. I really want to help bc I am a HUGE sucker for kittens. I do work at a vet clinic as a vet tech so I'm pretty sure I can care for the thing correctly. I know if I go pick it up that I'm going to fall in love with it, but I just wanna help. ANd I do know that I always have the possibility to take it to a no kill shelter or adoption agency, but I just hate doing that.

Answers....a little advice...suggestions...I'm open for just about anything right now.

i have a weird connection with wolves. Basically i find them always around . and i got a new doctor and his last name is wolf. and well, when i was in my backyard i saw a flash of a wolf and then later that night i dreamed of a wolf. also at times i have a vision of a wolf and so on. and i know this part sounds very retarded but i can howl like a wolf. not that i practice that or anything. and @ one time i had a sibearian husky and everyone tells me that dogs dont eat cats. but my sibearian husky ate my neighbors cat my husky looks like a wolf too. whats with this beacause i find them always around and sometimes staring @ me for a while. whats this connection, because i know its not a coincidence.

We're regulars in "Religion and Sprituality." A few times an hour, the question is asked "Why do Atheists and Agnostics come here?" and we got so tired of answering it, we came up with a standard answer "Because when we asked questions about god in "Cats", they told us to leave."

Well...we've asked a few questions about god here and you've been witty and kind, maybe a little puzzled, but...you haven't told us to leave! It was a very nice surprise, so big kitty hugs to you all. You're much kinder than many of the Christians we've run across.

And to make sure this is a question, do you think cat owners are just nicer than average?

My cat is full of knots and mats and my vet recommended that I got her shaved because it is unhealthy. He also told me that is is good for her digestive system (hairballs) and a cool option for the summer months. Now I'm thinking that if I have to go through with this I could have a little fun with it and keep her looking cute. My vet suggested a lion cut (shave everything but paws, tip of tail, and head) and I saw a picture of a cat with a punk cut (same thing as a lion cut but with a little mohawk down it's back). Does anyone have an ideas of things they have seen or have come up with that could turn her potentially horrifying hair doo into something that people will think is cute?

About 4 or 5 days ago my kitten got sick and had worms. We gave he worm medicine then and she was fine till now! Shes been sleeping all day and will barely eat. Normaly shes wild and will run though the house playing with the other kitten so this is a change for her. Is there something wrong with her and how bad is it?
