What is in my cat's eyes? It's like when you wake up in the morning, that gloopy stuff that makes your vision a little blury. She has huge ones and gets it a couple times a week. It's pretty gross to clear out from her eyes. Where is it coming from? Is her eye shedding skin or something?

I have a dog who is sharpie, rotweiler, & pitbull. I clean around her eyes all the time. She will get some pretty big "globs" sometimes will come out in a long string from inside her eye. (It's pretty disgusting, but a little warm wash cloth or tissue and it's gone) . My chihauha gets long strings of hair that will coil up on the top layer of his eyeball and I have to pull those out his eye also. I think this is all normal. I mean I am no dog expert, but I go by the saying that "Dogs are people, too" ...you know what I mean?...They need personal maintenance too...like clipping their toenails.

They are harmless eye 'boogers' Clean the cats eyes with a clean cloth and warm water. Wipe from inside to outside of eyelid.

This is eye crust, probably allergies

use baby wipes to wipe away the eye-boogers and get eye drops from your vet.........the fun part is putting the drops in..........wrap the cat tightly in a towel and hold on for the ride of your life. make sure ALL legs are secured to avoid being shredded.

Hi,

Your cat might be sick; that's one way they, cats or dogs, show it. She might need to see a vet, or just call the vet and you might just get medicine over the counter, but if it's something serious, the best thing to do is take her. The cats do not shed skin.

It seems like your cat has the cat version of a human cold. For us, sometimes its not that bad, but for cats it can be serious. Its also highly contagious to other cats. Take her to the Vet and get her some medicine, my friend.

They just sound like eye boogers. I know gross, but my dog gets them too, could be allergies.
