My cat seems to be getting a chronic bacterial eye infection. It's come back 3 times in the past couple of months. The ointment the vet prescribed to treat bacterial infections clears it up, but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to help prevent them?

My 3 year old male (neutered) cat is having trouble urinating. When he tries, he only dribbles a little bit of bright orange urine.

We locked him in a room last night with wet food, water, and a fresh litter box. He finished all of the food, so he's still eating. But he did not drink any of the water. It was obvious that he had only been able to dribble little bits at a time in the litter box.

Because he is still eating and he seems to have his regular amount of energy, is it ok if we wait until Monday morning to take him to the vet? Or is this serious enough to take him to an emergency vet today?

Until this point, he has been a very healthy cat.

I have a 4 year old neutered male cat, and I dont know what to do with him. About a year or two ago, he started to pee on any towels that I left on the ground occasionally. Then it turned into all the time. Next he started peeing on clothes also. Then he started peeing on the couch and chairs. So I was going to give him one last chance or else I would have to find a new home for him because he was out of control. Then last night I went downstairs and smelled something gross. I looked down and there was a huge pile of poop. I cleaned it up and put my cat in the laundry room so he couldnt do anymore damage. Well this morning I woke up early to take my dogs out to go the bathroom and when I was walking down the stairs I saw fresh wet yellow spots all over the stairs. I was so mad. I cleaned it all up and went downstairs to see that somebody had let him out of the laundry room. Then a while later I came back upstairs and found pee upstairs too. What could be wrong with him?

I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow when the vet opens. I'm wondering if anyone has had this happen to them and if so, what was wrong with your cat? My cat is about 11 years old. She has been extremely talkative and clingy the last few weeks and has been throwin up more but I though it was b/c I had switched her hairball treats. I switched them back last week and throwing up hasn't stopped and now it has blood in it. Just looking for comfort I guess. I love her SO much! Her and my beagle are my best friends in the whole world and I just don't know what I'd do without 'em.

My 8-year-old cat has been losing weight since early spring. She was normal until that time. She did eat some of the contaminated food and I feel awful. She was just diagnosed with a severe case of kidney failure and the Vet says she is terminal. I am on a very limited income but want to do all I can for her. Is there anything or anyone that can help?

My sister's cat had been on 1 insulin shot each A.M. Her last visit to the vet showed an increase in her glucose level, & she needs to have it 2 times a day. Would it be possible to use the same syringe for both shots, being careful to wipe the needle off with alcohol, or would this not be acceptable to do this?

My cat has become very aggressive in the last month. We got him at 3months old. He is now 8months old. We use to be able to touch him, pet him and pick him up. He is fixed and is up-to-date with all his shots. Now we cannot even come near him without him jumping out and attacking. He bites and sinks his teeth in to you and will not let go. We thought that maybe it was the heat, but now that is cooler outside he is still attacking. He does not hiss or make any noises. He does not go outside. He is only home for maybe 8hrs a day. The apartment we live in is a lot bigger than the apartment we had when we first got him. He is allowed to roam around and has access to everyroom.

I just need some advice as to how to rid him from biting or what could be causing his behavior. We have tried time-out, distracting him and we play with him all the time. He randomly attacks us for no reason. He has drawn blood many times with his teeth. He never uses his claws to attack, just teeth!

I have a three year old male cat who is fixed. For some reason, he goes into my son's room and gets this toy rooster and brings it out and drops it in the middle of the floor. He used to do this with my sons Big Bird stuffed animal but when he got the rooster he stopped doing it with Big Bird. He does it mostly when we are gone but he does do it sometimes when we are there and when he is carrying it in his mouth he makes this really weird crying meow. I am just wondering why he does this. he doesn't play with it after he drops it, he just leaves it there. What is the deal?

I have a 3 year old male Himalayan that does this weird "howling" meow every night at 10:00pm. It is so weird because it is almost like clockwork. We adopted him from someone about 5 months ago and when he started doing this we thought it was because of the new environment, missing his old himi friend, possibly calling for females in heat in the neighborhood, etc. But we came to the conclusion that it wasn't that since it happens every night around that time since we have had him. He is healthy and everything too so its not like he's crying in pain or anything.

I was just wondering if anyone knows why he does this or has a cat that does this?

Also is there anyway to get him to stop doing this because it is getting annoying since it is always about the time when we are trying to get to sleep.

My family and I adopted a 2 year old cat yesterday and when we picked her out, we were told that this is her 2nd adoption (the other family decided they had to many animals). She is very very timid. She is not aggressive at all, she hasn't tried to scratch or bite us. But she is hiding under the bed and won't come out, we aren't trying to force her out, but I'm concerned b/c she hasn't used her litter box at all and she hasn't ate or drank any water. Not sure what to do.

as in massage here..is what I am referring to! I just watched youtubers filming the "spanking of kitties!" One of the cats liked it so much that everytime the massage therapist stopped..the cat would try to massage the therapist! LOL!
It was rather interesting,..but, I wonder..wouldn't it be kind of hard on a cats body or bones?(they massaged or "spanked" the back end of the cats that I would see on youtube.com)
Anybody with a cat..or a animal vet..please help!
thanks!
