I have a 3 year old male Himalayan that does this weird "howling" meow every night at 10:00pm. It is so weird because it is almost like clockwork. We adopted him from someone about 5 months ago and when he started doing this we thought it was because of the new environment, missing his old himi friend, possibly calling for females in heat in the neighborhood, etc. But we came to the conclusion that it wasn't that since it happens every night around that time since we have had him. He is healthy and everything too so its not like he's crying in pain or anything.
I was just wondering if anyone knows why he does this or has a cat that does this?
Also is there anyway to get him to stop doing this because it is getting annoying since it is always about the time when we are trying to get to sleep.

He does have pals. I also have a 2 year old female himalayan and a 2 year old female siberian cat. Him and the siberian sleep all day together and hang out all night together. So I don't think its because hes lonely.
Also he does this at this time whether we are in bed or not. Like on the weekend we stay up real late alot and he will still do it at that time.
