my cat is 1 years old. She went out last thursday and came back two days ago on thursday and she seems much much heavier and wider can she be pregnant or is she just getting fatter. I dont want to waste my money on the vet to hear that she isnt pregnant. I just wanna know. I can touch her tummy without her getting to jumpy but she is heavier and wider and i am not sure about her nipples but is there any more symptons or things like that to know if she is pregnant thanks..

Please get her to the vet... if she's not pregnant GET HER FIXED. There are THOUSANDS of unwanted cats and dogs stuck in animal shelters. The majority end up being put to sleep. Please oh please oh please fix your animals!

Not having your cat spayed or neutered AND letting her out for days at a time is very irresponsible. In my neighborhood, there are at least 6 stray cats as of today, and this started because people let their cats out and do not pay any attention to where they go or what they do. As a result, some of the strays get pregnant and have litters, producing another 3, 4 or 5 cats which in turn become strays also. Then they grow, become pregnant, and have 3, 4, or 5 more - you see where I'm going with this??

Do your neighborhood a favor - take your cat to the vet. If she is not pregnant, get her spayed. If she is pregnant, then after she gives birth and the kits are weaned from her, get her spayed and give the kittens to the animal shelter so homes can be found for them.

Good luck.

Cats usually don't disappear for a week and get fatter. Gaining so much weight in such a little amount of time (and without you feeding her for a week?...) is a sign that something is not right. She may be pregnant, or have an internal medical problem. Regardless, she should see a vet ASAP. In the future, you might consider keeping your cat indoors at all times, and also having her fixed... it makes it easier for both you and her in the long run.

You might be able to just call your vet's office and tell them what is going on. They may be able to tell you if she is pregnant and what you need to do. It's not like they can charge you for a phone call!
Hope this helps!
Good luck to you and your cat.

why did she go out if she was not spayed? Wasting money on the vet is the wrong attitude. Does she even have vaccines?

If she is pregnant, sounds like it, PLEASE SPAY HER AFTERWARDS!
