My cat I just bought home from the store I work at(a stray cat) was ill and we did not see him for like two days. When he came back he stayed under our deck for a day and today he came out and he is weak and it looks like a brown worm is coming out of his nose.Now I won't get that close to see but can this happen or he just might have something like a pine needle or somethin g. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes it can and does happen.if he has worms in his stomach and vomits,they can come out that way.please help the poor thing. get him some worm pills from the vet.ones bought in the store aren't strong enough to kill all the worms. my vet told me that when i bought a kitten at a pet store and it puked up tape worms and two other kinds. she is now a 3year old beautiful bengal!! i was pretty upset that the pet store didn't treat it for worms,and sold it like that.especially since it was the owner and i knew her well!!!

Oh yes! I pulled a 4 inch skinny dark brown worm from my cats nose a few years ago! I thought it was a thin wire stuck in her nose as it was sticking out about an inch. As I pulled on it she was shuttering the whole time! Lol, it was gross and whipping around! Poor cat, she was happy as a clam afterwards!

No. It won't die. It may have worms in it's stomach. I sugest you take it to a vet. You may have fed it something expired? Or had worms in it and you never noticed. It could happen. Good luck. :]

Yes they can. It sounds like it may be maggots. call the vet.

I would wrap the cat in a old blanket and get it to the vet ASAP it sounds like the cat is infected with worms they may have to put it down if they can not cure him.
But do get him to the vet FAST>>>>>>>>>>>>

Call the Humane Officer or SPCA and have them come pick up the cat. They will get it treated.
I don't know of any worms that come out of the nose.

There's no way we can know what you saw, your best bed is to have a veterinarian check your cat over. He shouldn't be weak, he needs to be looked at before whatever it is gets worse.
You need to be a responsible owner and get him the help he needs.

call the animal control to catch it and have them bring it to the vet and if you want the cat ask them for it!♥

no they cant it sounds like an infection of some kid - either an upper respiratory infection or something stick up their causing irritation and infection - head to the vets for either an xray or course of antibiotics
