We got a kitten almost a year ago. It took quite some time to find the right name for him. We finally settled on Siddartha, or Sid for short. Sometimes it's Sid Vicious b/c he can be a stinker and bite and scratch when he doesn't want to be loved or touched or held anymore...These are some other names we thought about or tried OR they are the names of other friends cats: Benjamin, Nicholas, Jeremiah, Grey, Thomas, John Thomas, Albert, George, Luke, Lucas or Luca, Moses, Matthew, Martin or Martin Luther, Eb(ony), Jet, Pancho Villa or Pancho Gonzales; Nacho, Garcia, Mr. Kittygato, Rocco, James, Hatori Hanso (the swordmaster from Kill Bill), Abu Nidal (the terrorist), Che (as in Guevarra), Rufus, Pugsley is cute!, Cloudy, Amber, Mr. Manytoes, Daniel, Lucifer, Lucy Furr, Fluffbum (I'm not kidding. This is the funniest name we found!!!!), Malcolm, Luna, Mimsy, Obsidian; I have a friend who named all her cats after herbs and gemstones: Clover, Elecampane, Patchouli, Ivy, Fern, Daisy, Topaz, Sapphire, Emerald, etc. etc.; Cobweb, Oreo, Temujin (Ghenghis Khan's name in Mongholian, I think it was), Merlin, Taliesin, Jackie, Kohl or Coal, Black; You could name him after any beautiful black man; Goldie, Amber, "Blacky Bonhannon the Pirate Cat"; Rah or Amun Rah; Capt. Jack Sparrow; my male cat was called Akira. How about Zebra or Opus (the penguin in Bloom County)? or Otis, maybe? We even know a cat named Mrow. That should be a good start! Have fun with him! I have a friend who named her cat Smokey Katz and she actually got mail addressed to him in the daily post! Rocco is currently the cutest kitten we know. Roundtree or Yaphet Koto are cool names too! Luther Brown!

I had 5 cats at one time, and they all fit their names.
Chaos (he was my favorite...still miss him after 2 years)
Ruckus (she still "talks" all the time, raising a ruckus)
Mischief & Mayhem (twin peach/gray/white calicos)
& Tempest (a charcoal gray fuzzball)
(and now the latest addition) Gizmo, because when we found her in the parking lot, she looked exactly like the little gremlin!
