It would be easier for you to google "cat nip plant" to see a picture. It's a perenial herb and the plant gets HUGE.

LOL! I was out picking catnip today, it certainly DOES have a smell, my car reeks of it! Fresh catnip has a mint smell, a little like the spearmint smell in toothpaste, but different. It has a square stem which is sort of hollow, and circles of tight flower buds at the top. Serrated leaves, a medium green color. The only thing CLOSE to it in appearance is stinging nettle. Bees love catnip, if you want things pol;inated, plant catnip nearby.
The plants usually grow about hip high, but I've found some almost chin tall where it grows with thistle plants. It's in full flower here right now.
There's a good site for pictures over at this place:

Well you should at least get a good friend that will actually sell you some legit ****. Its hard to explain the smell, but you know if its weed like no other. For a $2 joint, then you got ripped off. I think you should just tell your friend to smoke you out for a couple bucks.

I agree with KitKat, but since I love being a know-it-all I shall answer.
The plant has triangle-like leaves that feel fuzzy and at this time of year are prolly beginning to have pinkish buds.

catnip comes tightly packed in plastic bags...similar to brown sugar but in a smaller container...it looks like shredded bark...thin, smaller than the size of your nail......it smells like a light spice, similar to cinnamon...Good Luck!

It looks and feels like parsley -- to me, it doesn't really have a smell but to cats, it sure does!
