I adopted two long-hair male kittens (one black/white and the other is dark tiger tabby). Looking for some ideas from the Answers team! Visited many websites but want your suggestions. (the names don't have to match). What are some different names for males?

Thanks!

So I've read that all cats have hair, but not all types of hair are fur. I would love to get a cat, but my boyfriend is allergic to the fur. Any ideas for types of cats that have hair?

I have to give you more details. Seemed like a very sweet cat, I brought it home and as I was cooking dinner, it rubbed against my leg, purring, wanted to be petted. So I scratched him on his head and out of nowhere, the cat grabbed my arm with all four paws, sunk his claws in and bit my hand so hard that I bled everywhere and needed stitches. It was very painful. Don't worry, I'm fine now and did all the necessary antibiotics and disease testing. I returned the cat and explained the situation. I don't know what they did with the cat, I'm fine with not knowing.

But does anyone know WHY a cat would do such a strange thing? I'm just so glad it didn't bite my children. I'm cat shy now and can barely pet a strange cat.. I'm scared it will freak out on me like that one did. Ideas?

Even if I get a few negative posts, this will be worth it for the people who are willing to accept this information.

Declawing a cat is the equivalent of amputating our fingers at the knuckle. It can cause severe pain periodically and can also cause severe nerve damage throughout the cats life. There are many other options available to keep a cat from clawing things you don't want them to claw, declawing is just the lazy way out of it. The only time declawing is a viable option is when you have the choice between declawing the cat and abandoning the cat and ALL other options should be explored before then. Even then, you should have never gotten a cat in the first place, knowing the risks.

If you need any help to stop your cat from its destructive behavior...post a question...I'm sure you will find many solutions :)

I'm trying to give this kitten away, i can't keep her but no one wants her. they all have some excuse. i don't want to take her to the pound or the humane society, i've heard some bad things. so if i take her to the pet store, they can sell her to a good family, right?

Omg somebody please help!! My cat has lost a LOT of weight and has something BIG and red coming out of her rear end. I haven't had her very long but when I got her she was fixed, had all her shots and was very healthy looking. She has been going outside quite often. I am so scared of her right now and don't know what to do! Is she dying? Is she dangerous to my 3 little boys and myself? Please help!

I came home from work yesterday and my 9 year old manx was dead. He looks like he died in his sleep. He was just laying peacefully at the foot of the couch. Do you think he suffered? Do you think he had a heart attack?

Kimbah is now 17. Male, desexed feline. He has spondylosis and I can see, has problems rising and getting into a lying position. He gets the wobbles up when he walks as well.
He's also now started to miss his litter and is invariably targeting rooms in the house.
He eats like a horse but really, is skin and bones.
Above all, he still loves to be stroked.
When do I know whether he's too uncomfortable in this life? I had always thought I would know it was 'time' when he stopped eating and stopped looking for love but now, given his toileting and watching him try to get settled....I'm not so sure. Thoughts?

Just wondering how many cats everyone owns?
At what point does someone become a "cat lady"?
I have 2 boy kitties, the BF has 1 girl and 1 boy cat.
