My cat has been missing for about 5 days and she finaly showed up tonight with a cut on her rear and dislocated leg. I called the emergency vet and they told me to hold off until tomorrow morning to bring her in.. I was just wondering if anyone has treated their cat for a dislocated leg and how much their vet bill was.

In the morning when I go to make the bed and my cat is sleeping on it I always tell her to move but she just looks at me and goes back to sleep.

So, I just make the bed right over her and she just lays there and doesn't even care. The whole bed will be made covers sheets and all and there will be a lump of kitty in it.

After about 10 minutes, she crawls around and finds her way out. It's halarious.

Just wondering if any1 else's cat does this?

A few weeks ago, I was driving through a rural street and saw a black cat get hit by a car and thrown a few yards. At least 2 other cars saw it but nobody stopped. As i drove past the cat, i noticed it twitchin hysterically, so i turned back to see how bad it was hurt. Its body was intact, with a little blood dripping out of its nose. By then it was lying motionless but i could see it was breathing.

After a few minutes of standing there, I decided that he was probably as good as dead and dragged him to the side of the road in the shade and left. The next day, the cat was gone.

Everyday i pass by that area, i wonder if that cat lived and if i'm a horrible person for leaving it there. Am I?

Every otc product that is for kittens says 12 weeks or older. Even the associate at PetsMart said there wasn't anything in the store for a kitten that small. Is the vet my only option?

I've adopted a new baby kitten I found under my friend's porch. She was 2 weeks old when I found her, totally abandoned by her mother, and I've been bottle feeding her since then. Now she's about 5 or 6 weeks old, going to the bathroom on her own, and so now I'm trying to get her to eat hard kitty food. I'll put some in a small bowl, moisten it, and put it in front of her, but she'll just stare at it, then walk away and then cry for a bottle. I'll leave it out for her and offer it to her at the next feeding time, but she still won't touch it!! I've even tried putting formula in a bowl to see if she would drink out of it, but she won't even do that. I don't know if not having a mommy cat for her to mimic is the dilema, but I've done everything I can think of and now I'm desperate for some help. Does anyone have any suggestions or know what I can do to help her start eating hard food?

What is the best cat litter to use in order to keep down the smell? I have a very old cat and I guess that contributes to strong urine...not sure about that but..I can clean her litter box everyday and when I get home from work I can smell it. I have my house on the market to sell and do not want potential buyers to smell the litter box. Only positive answers please. Thanks!

Was wondering if I need separate litter boxes for each cat or will they share? I clean my box everyday for my current cat. I've never had 2 cats at once.

Ok so my cat is over a year old and has previously had no issues of not using the litter box, until we purchased some old magazines and placed them in the same room her litter box is. is it possible that the magazines smell odd and she is trying to mark her territory and if so is there anything i can spray on the magazines so they wont smell.

also, she gets plenty of attention, always has good food and water, she has been spayed, and her litter box is ALWAYS clean.

Is it true that if you hold baby kittens and puppies too much it gives them worms?

My mom always told me that and we just recently got a kitten. My little sister is always holding him and totes him around everywhere even tho we tell her not to. How can we make her stop?

My cat is 12 years old, he has lost weight, down to 8 lbs. He has had a growth on his face. The doctor removed some teeth and told me it was an infection. After 2 weeks of anitibotics the growth is worse. He drools and just stares at me. I took him back to the dr, and he is going to do a biopsy tomorrow. He thinks its cancer since it is so hard, and I kind of feel the same. My husband and I are splitting up and I am moving this weekend. I have 2 other 1 year old cats. I had planned to take them all. If its cancer, my choices are put him to sleep that day, or bring him home until he gets worse. Then I have to deside to bring him with me to my new apartment, and we all know cats dont like change. Or I could leave him with my husband at the house until its time, but would he be lonely for me and the other cats? I really am confussed and need some advice. This has been going on with Harry for about 4 months, he is very needed and does not let the other kittens around me.

This her http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=8546329
I adopted her from the pound last week and I just can't get a name going for her. She's the sweetest thing. I've been calling her Little Bit but she's way too cute for that. I've tried on several names (Peaches, Suzi, I wanted Buttons but my husband says that's too sissy) & nothing really fits yet. I have another the same as her named Lexi. Can you help me name her? Who does she look like to you?

My 15 week old kitten just peed on the floor and I'm not sure why. I have two litter boxes and at the time he didn't have access to one of them, he hasn't been nuetered yet (his appt. is next week), and he wasn't in spray stance (I saw him do it). I didn't scold him or yell or anything because I was more concerned if there was some kind of problem, he has NEVER done this before. Any advice???

Is there anything I can do to help prevent a newly adopted 6 yr old male shelter cat from spraying? He will be neutered on Friday, pick him up on Saturday. We have a 4 yr old spayed female cat. We will keep them separate for a while. I will buy some Rescue Remedy and put it on both cats before bringing the new one into his room. Any advice to prevent spraying would be helpful.
