We just got two kittens, one is a tan/brown/white calico cat, which my family named Cally.

The other one is black with a white spot of hair just below its neck in the front. I'm not sure what to name it. I want something unique with a meaning. Not too unique, but at least somewhat.

My only idea so far is Kiara, which means small and dark.

Any suggestions? Thanks!!

My three-month old kitten is playing with his mouse toy, while the other kitten is watching. The kitten who is playing is making a growling sound from deep inside his throat. Should I be concerned?

My kitten is about 4 months old. When I hold her she stinks so I am wondering if I can give her a bath. Sometimes I splash her with water and she likes it. Please answer soon.

i found 5 kittens just being left out on the sidewalk and i was told that they've been there for days exposed in the heat and rain so i took them in my flat to nurse them until they're older, but i can't keep them for long since pets aren't allowed here in my condominium, i sneaked them in. and i have 2 cats already that i keep in secret. the prob is, here in my country, people are quite brutal to animals and doesn;t really care at all, we don't have any animal shelter. i already tried asking my friends if they would like to adopt some kittens, so far nobody likes them :/ if only i have my own place and a spacey one i would defenitely keep them. it breaks my heart too if i just have to leave them somewhere, but where? i'm still trying my luck to find someone who's interested in adopting them. but if ever i couldn't find one....where should i leave them? they need some place where they can survive.

I am transferring as a Junior to a university in Los Angeles and I am going to rent a studio apartment instead of living in a dorm. This is my first move away from my parents who will be living 380 miles away. My cat really is close to me and sleeps in a chair next to my bed every night. She even meows like crazy when I am not home at night when I stay out late. She has all the comforts that a cat could possibly want here at home (she has 3 cat trees, cat tubes, and multiple rooms to roam in). If she went with me, I probably wouldn't be home during the day, and the room would be a lot smaller for her to run around in, but then again she really relies on my attention and doesn't seem to like my parents very much. I am debating whether I should take her with me. I feel like I am betraying her if I leave her but I also feel like it might not be the best situation for her to live in.

When a cat has kittens , can there be more than one dad to the litter. I got told that there can be a few to a litter, but my fella and his father, my father in law are saying that there can only be one. I always thought that a cat mates with as many males as she wants, then she releases her eggs. I could be wrong so i would be gratefully for your answers. There must be someone out there who can help me!!!

There is one that I am thinking of adopting from the shelter, but is feeling sorry for him the right reason to adopt it? He is the one cat there that I don't think anyone else will adopt. He looks so sad in his cage. He's not very attractive, but he is very affectionate. Thinking about it has actually been keeping me up at night and I feel sick to my stomach. Not sure if I should adopt him or not. I already have an adult cat I adopted last year that seems fine and happy to be an only cat. I think she'd get jealous and angry if I brought another one home. What do you think I should do?

I'm raising a litter of orphaned kittens. A retired vet told me to give the kittens Kaopectate for their runny stool. Research on the internet said the new formula with Bismuth Subsalicylate is highly toxic for adult cats. Why would it be alright for kittens?

Well, my cat is approx. 70+ days pregnant, her mucus plug came out yesterday afternoon and has been spotting blood all over her blankets and floor. She is currently VERY lovey, and won't lay down, she keeps pacing back and forth in circles and such and continuously meows. I go in to check on her and she wants me to rub her down and hold her. Does everything sound like normal? How much longer before she starts the birthing process? Thanks so much for all input!

As a kitten he used Tidy Cat litter. When he was 6 months old he was de-clawed and was switched to Mews News pellets. He turned a year old this month (June). About two weeks ago he started putting his bowel movements on the floor behind the toilet, or on the rug in the half-bath where his litter box is. Why is he doing this, and what can I do to get him to use his litter box again?

My kitten is about 7 months old and she is developing a lot of fat on her belly. She is still on dry kitten food. I always leave a bowl of kitten food out for my cats so they can help themselves. My older cats also get servings of wet food. None of my older cats have as much fat as her. I adoted her mother and she has no stomach fat so it isn't just the type of cat that she is. I am really concerned for her. I can't feed her separately from all my other cats, i have 6 and that would be near impossible. What can be causing her to gain wieght? Could it be because she was spayed at such a young age? I don't know i need advice on what should be done and what could be causing it. I mean the fat is noticable when she walks. I have no expierence with overwieght cats. Should i take her to the vet or am i just over reacting?

For those who helped me while my cat was pregnant, I want to thank you and let everyone know that on May 26th she gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens, 2 boys 4 girls. The birthing went well for the first 4 but there was a 2 hour delay for the last 2, the 5th one was born not breathing and because of all your answers you helped me save this kittys life, number 6 was fine. Now I need help with a name for the kitten I'm going to keep, yes I'm keeping the 5th one. She is a calico and I thought of the name Callie but that is so common for a calico, I want something unique, So if you have any ideas please feel free to help.

I know this probably seems like a strange question, but I really need help. He's been sneezing - making little exhalations through his nose - once every few minutes or so. This has been going on for a few hours. I already tried to blow his nose for him, but it did nothing. 'm starting to get really concerned. Should I call the vet? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

I took my cat to the vet today to get him neutered, he is about 7 months old. While I was there there was a litter of kittens there that didnt have a home and so i got a female kitten who is about 8 weeks old. When I came home i showed the kitten around my house, and as soon as my older cat saw her he was immediately biting her neck and trying to hump her, at least thats what it looks like. She cries and tries to get away but she is so little that he overpowers her. He seems to follow her around to do this and so I have been holding her all night so my other cat will leave her alone. Seeing as how my cat just got neutered today, i was wondering if he is just showing domenation, or if he is trying to really "hump" her. And any advice on what to do would be great. Thanks!

I treat my cat and dog both with topical flea cream, my cat just had her kittens(less than a week ago). For some reason she got infested again a couple weeks before giving birth. I do take good care of my animals it was our choice to let her have 1 litter before being spayed. However I could not treat her being pregnant and the kittens now how fleas. I live in PA and right now it is very humid and they are saying that fleas are rampid this year - likely explaining why the cat got them(she is indoor outdoor and she isnt going back out until spayed). How can I treat the babies and momma? I have heard of lemon juice, anyone know how this works or if is dangerous? I dont want anyone to reply with snide comments, only people who wanna be helpful! Thanks!!!!
