when a flea bites u, it not only sucks ur blood.but it also releases an enzyme into ur blood which are allergents.it causes u itchy feeling.these allergents contain microorganisms (fro flea saliva) which peneterate through ur skin when u scratch urself.due to the action of ur body's immune system against the allergents u get lumps.

The produce a substance, like saliva, to numb the skin when they bite so they can feed away without you noticing, otherwise you'd jump a foot in the air when they bite and kill then. It's this stuff that's irritating to the skin.

It IS an allergic reaction to the bite.

because fleas suck blood! thats where its sucked blood and a lumps came up. you need to keep the fleas under control by trying different remadies, fleas can make cats/dogs very poorly and in some cases kill them.
