depends what it looks like sometimes I name my cats based on appearance sometimes I don't. Example I had a kitten when I was little, it was black and white. His face was white but he had back coming aroung his face that looked like a star so I named him Star (I didn't realize that until I was older though.) I have another cat and my parents named Bear IDK where they got the name but it fits her well (she digs through the garbage can for scraps and she bags every time one of us eat) So I like the names Salem, Bear, Sam, Sweetiepie, ect.

I agree with Max Jewels. Take a feature or personality of the cat into mind. The perfect name will hit you out of the blue.

Depends on the cats personality, color, sex etc. When I get a new kitten I usually wait to name it until I c it's personality:)

properly definitely, i understand somebody that call their cat 'Tabby' so as that is lovable. Tubby, Greyson, Memphis(lovable and geeky), Mister, Chubbs(obese), Fish(I had to), nightfall, Ninja, Ebony, Charcoal, lifeless night, Shadow, Pepper. those are some strategies:] enjoyyyy

it really depends on the cat and it's attitude.... My cat is named "Nibbles" she loved to nibbles on anything and everything she could...

Watch him/her for a day or so and see what comes to mind
