I don't believe the cat's themselves are at all concerned with their color. As for me My 2 black cats cross my path all day and since I have got them, we are having a baby, we sold out home for a huge profit, I got a government job and my husband loves me even more now that i am carrying his baby....so I'll love my cats in spite of their fur.

I go with the British belief that black cats bring good luck. I love them, black animals seem so much more free-spirited. If I saw a black cat in a shelter, that wouldn't stop me from adopting it. If I could, I'd save them all.

Nope not at all. I have an all black kitten and he's been nothing but good luck since the day I got him. He is the biggest mommy's boy I have ever seen. Greeting me at the door when I get home, sitting on the edge of the bathtub when I am taking a shower, and cuddles with me while I go to sleep.

I DON'T believe in that black cat thing. My name has 13 letters, so technically I was DOOMED at birth. As for your cat being superstitious, I don't think so. They have more important things to do. Training "YOU" for example...

No, 1 of my BFFs (Best Friends Forever) has a black cat and she has walked past me plenty of times I have never had bad luck, Knock On Wood

Not at all. I have owned several black cats in my life and currently own a one and a half year old black cat named Jinx. He hasn't brought me any bad luck so far :)

No I had a beautiful all black cat growing up and it was the best cuddler. It was a great cat and nothing bad happened to me.

No. I heard that is a common misconception of black cats, and that they actually are good luck. I also heard that white cats are the ones who bring bad luck.

The best cat ever in the history of the world (with apologies to my current kitties....) was my great black cat Norman. 20 pounds and inscrutable. He is still missed.

I have a black cat and she is great.. I make my own luck anyway and I love all my cats... the black one rules the roost!
