I'm trying to give this kitten away, i can't keep her but no one wants her. they all have some excuse. i don't want to take her to the pound or the humane society, i've heard some bad things. so if i take her to the pet store, they can sell her to a good family, right?

i'm 13 and volunteer at a humane society. They don't put cats asleep if they can't be adopted. That's the pound. I would bring it to a humane society. But since you don't want to do that, you can put an add in the newspaper, or put a sign in your yard stating you are selling a kitten. I wouldn't bring i tto a pet store though. Most of the kittens you see there are from a mill, just like puppies. It might not get adopted because people might think it came from a mill. I would strongly advise you put an add in the newspaper, or put a sign in your yard!

The kitten has a much better chance of finding a good home from a shelter or humane society than it does from a pet store. A pet store will let it go to the first person with the money to buy it. On the other hand a shelter/humane society will make sure the person who takes it truly want a kitten and will give it a good life.

If you bring her to the pet store, chances are, someone will buy her on a whim. Put an ad in your local paper, but don't offer her for free as there's more chance of someone taking her on impulse. Getting a kitten is a big commitment, maybe you should've thought about it more carefully & you might not be in this situation.

You could try to give her to a pet store, but the chances are if she's been outside that they won't take her. I'd suggest posting her with a pic on one of the classified sites like craigslist ( http://craigslist.org/about/cities.html ) or like someone suggested take an add out in your local paper.

i think a better idea is to put an ad on the bulletin board at the pet store, and have "interviews" for a good family to take her. there is no guarantee that the pet store will be giving her to a good family.

I don't think the pet store would take your kitten, though you could try. I recommend you call local vets in your area, some take in animals and rehome them. We adopted our last kitten from our vet, and they are very selective about who they let take a kitten/cat.

i think you should put an ad in the local paper
if theres a petsmart near you then i think you can go there and they have a place where you can donate an unwanted or rescued cat and they will find it a home. call them and ask to be sure though....someone told me you could do that.
