It is very possible. The easiest way is to go to a pet store and buy some disposable litter boxes that are made especially to fit onto a toilet. Once you get the cat going in the litter box over the toilet, it is just a matter of taking the litter away. Not all cats will take to it though. Using litter is part of a cats instinct, so not all will like to use the toilet. You may want to keep the toilet litter box up for a while until the cat is really comfortable with the location before removing it. Good luck!

As many otheres, the answer is yes. There are special mesh trays you can buy to position the litter into the toliet. You have to gradually bring the litter box nearer to the toliet. And then after a few weeks inside you can remove it and they have picked up on what to do. it is essentially re-training because cats will naturally use a litter tray but I'm sure its do-able. Cats like to be challenged as much as dogs do.

If you don't mind a soiled garden then go for that if you can. I know my cats play outside then come back in to use the tray! But if it's all they've ever known who can blame em?! Another addition to this subject is the self cleaning tray. Now if you have more money than sense look it up. The japanese have created a litter tray with sensors that cleans itsself :)

Cats are clean by nature, litter trays are a cats toilet and id say if your cat is already using it, then it is already toilet trained. If you are moving to a place with its own garden then the cat will use that and bury its dirt in the garden, if your moving to a flat and no garden when outdoors a cat will always find a place for to do its needs. Indoors at any time you will still need a litter tray you skinflint!

There is an adjuster that you can buy to train your cat to use the toilet. It fits over the seat opening and is perforated. You put a handful of litter over the perforations and show the cat. After she gets used to using it, you remove the adjuster and put a handful of cat litter in the toilet (be sure to buy flushable litter), once the cat gets accustomed to this, you can stop using the litter in the toilet altogether.

It takes time, but it can be done.

Litter Kwitter is the original cat toilet training system, and it will eliminate the need for cat litter of any type.

The link below will provide more info. and there are lots of clips of cats who've successfully been trained to use the toilet.

You need to find a way to fit the litter box on the toilet seat. Then make the litter box smaller and smaller a week or a month at a time, until it can be removed entirely.

My cousin told me that petsmart had something that you could use to toilet train a cat...so go there and look and, and ya it would save money if your cat picked up on it!

Well, move to the country and boot the cat outside to take a dump. That usually saves on time and effort to train it to crap in the toilet. (Its possible to toilet train, but each cat is different--I think you have to first get them interested in flushing the toilet.)
