What are the chances of my cat surviving after ingesting petrol.
He came home dowsed in the stuff ::
there are some sick freaks out there

What kind of person would wait till people on the net answer before going to the vet?

Hes already there...and has been since he first came home

if ingested then very low,but if it has just got it over him then wash him immediately

You need to take him to the vet. He will try to lick his fur to clean it up and will die from ingesting that stuff. At the very least give him a good bath. However, even with a bath, there is a good chance he may have already ingested some of it so it would be best to take him to the vet right away. Don't wait until later today or tomorrow. Take him now.

Did you call the vet when the cat came home? If the cat drank enough water it should just flush out of his system, but hteir is also a chance that it could have a allergy to it and throw up..... but I doubt that it will die

Take him to the vet. If this is true the cat does not have long to live. A vet can save his life.
